Thoughts for the future

edit

Once we get the character list up and running, the only things left in this page will be the Moon Kingdom stuff and the Silver Crystal stuff, which makes it much easier to potentially merge the content to other, better locations (in a nice leisurely fashion not motivated by deletion). So I've been thinking about that, and noticed that some other fiction-related articles have a "Setting" section in them. Does anyone know if those are generally considered appropriate? If so, this would be an excellent use for one, as those sections can probably be boiled down even further.

That being said, I have no idea what to do with the Silver Crystal information. A lot of it can probably be tossed altogether as plot information, but other than that... Maybe a subsection to the powers and items heading at Sailor Moon (character)? What do you all think? --Masamage 21:38, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

We should probably check the anime/manga MOS page to see what it says about "setting" - my guess is something along the lines of "No way!" because it's excess "in universe plottery" stuff. Maybe by ballasting it by expanding the Reception section somewhat? I dunno. -Malkinann (talk) 01:59, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wow

edit

The following is quite the run-on sentence (that someone should probably break up):

"The crystal seems to have both more control and more focused power attached to Sailor Moon's Moon Stick, though Usagi eventually becomes so in tune with her power that she no longer needs the extra help of the Moon Stick - it can be inferred that the reason why her mother needed it was because the Silver Crystal's true form as Usagi's star seed - the most powerful senshi of all times and universes due to her immense capacity for love - as opposed to sheer power or skill - and thus she's the only one that can make full use of its potential, though to use all of it would kill her as it would use up all her life force, but because her love for others and desire to help them appears to be strong enough, if her will is strong enough, to extend that life force interminably - as seen in the anime version of Sailor Stars, when Usagi uses an unprecedented amount of power and comes out of it not only without collapsing but also none the worse for the wear, which was also unprecedented in the anime."The Gazel Ministry (talk) 18:05, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speaking of that passage... "It can be inferred"? Sounds a bit like original research to me. 129.137.195.230 (talk) 16:01, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Why is there a link ot this page from Futagohime's character list? Raekuul, bringer of Tropes (He does it without notability) 20:40, 26 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Looks like they're linking to "Moon Kingdom" as a thingy within that series, despite the fact that they have no article for it and that that redirects to here. Presumably those kingdoms should never have individual articles, so removing the link (and the red links) would probably be safe. --Masamage 00:00, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The forms of the Silver Crystal

edit

It takes on a multitude of shapes, including round, diamond, rose, heart, star, and lotus, and it turns pink while stored within the brooches of both Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon.

Is there any canon evidence to say that the heart/star-shaped pink crystals in Sailor Moon's brooches are the Silver Crystal? --Ki no Senshi 20:13, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

I think it's assumed from the fact that the crystals in their previous brooches are the Silver Crystal, so why would it change, but it would be nice to know of a scene where they take the thing out and use it. I don't know off the top of my head, but it doesn't seem unlikely. --Masamage 17:37, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
The Sailor Moon R movie. Sailor Moon (In the form of Princess Serenity) uses the crystal to stop the comet from crashing into the earth (And sacrificing herself in the prossess. She gets better) I don't remember if it actually shows her removing the crystal from the Brooch though. Also it's shaped like a lotus when she's useing it.--Lego3400: The Sage of Time (talk) 00:23, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
I doubled checked. It DOES show her removeing it. See here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oppu0Oh9a2k&feature=PlayList&p=3850EE6E038D608B&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=48

I propose to split the sections of this article into several other articles, mainly because of Wikipedia:Notability issues. I propose to move Queen Serenity into the Minor characters article, the Sailor Princesses and the Power Guardians into Sailor Senshi, and also a trimmed, non-over detailed version of the Silver Crystal into the Sailor Crystals subsection of the Sailor Senshi article. The descriptions of the Moon Kingdom and Crystal Tokio are only plot-retell and in-universe that can be omitted. Thoughts? --LoЯd ۞pεth 21:01, 5 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

A week has passed and Notability was not established. I performed the changes as suggested here and in Talk:List of Sailor Moon characters. --LoЯd ۞pεth 23:10, 11 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
