There is a considerably big difference between two geographical coordinate for Siple Island
editThere is a considerably big difference between two geographical coordinate for Siple Island. See: http://peaklist.org/WWlists/ultras/antarctica.html (69º49' S 69º43' W).
- Not exactly, it's two different objects: Siple Island, and Mount Siple which is located at the noerthwest extremity of the island. Their respective coordinates are 73º51'S, 125º50'W (the island's midpoint), and 73º26'S, 126º46'W. Figures taken from Google Earth, with much better precision than that of the quoted source.
