Fair use rationale for Image:Sleemancentrelogo.jpg
editImage:Sleemancentrelogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Removed Portion
editI removed the part regarding the private-public relation. The section was worded to attack the company and not provide any history towards the construction of the building. Furthermore, the link they provided has a reference was dead and not a reputable source. I tried to google the allegations that the paragraph was stating but count not find any other source. --Striker1057 (talk) 03:09, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

– The venue in Brisbane is commonly and officially known as "Sleeman Sports Complex". "Sleeman Centre" is unambiguous. Also recommend deleting the dabpage; hatnotes at the articles are sufficient. 162 etc. (talk) 19:26, 29 July 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 19:37, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose. Both are called the Sleeman Centre. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:48, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- I've checked the sources cited at Sleeman Centre (Brisbane), and all use "Sleeman Sports Complex". While I've found some secondary-source usage of "Sleeman Centre" for the Australian venue, it certainly does not appear to be the WP:COMMONNAME. 162 etc. (talk) 02:40, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- I have no objection to the second move, but the first should remain as is for reasons of ambiguity. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:57, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

- Support - The Sleeman Sports Complex is the official name of a multi-purpose complex in Brisbane. There is an arena within that complex that used to be called the "Sleeman Sports Centre", but is now called "Chandler Arena", perhaps to avoid confusion and the need to constantly differentiate between the centre and the complex. Only the arena in Guelph is actually called the Sleeman Centre. The best disambiguation strategy is simply to call each place by its name.
