Cats
editThe article states that "cats either evolved as a natural predator, or they were bred to hunt Sleepwalkers (which, given the number of cats in the world, would explain why Charles and Mary might be the last of their kind)."
From the movie, it looks more likely that the cats attack sleepwalkers out of territorial reasons, showing aggressive behavior directed at a rival species. The above quote from the article pertains to a predator-prey relationship which is not supported by the cats' behavior. (For example they do not eat killed sleepwalkers.) It is also unlikely that cats were bred to hunt sleepwalkers as all cats in the movie show an instinctive aggressive stance toward sleepwalkers, and training is not hereditary. 84.206.41.100 09:10, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
I am inclined to believe that domestic cats have no evolutionary relation to Sleepwalkers, as, e.g., domestic cats have better sense than to attack lions or tigers. I suggest that Sleepwalkers are evolved from non-felines, and, considering their psychic powers, might even be exterrestrial in origin. Sussmanbern (talk) 02:18, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
How did critics like it?
editI notice its absent critics reviews, aren't there any out there?--74.133.210.229 (talk) 00:54, 10 October 2010 (UTC)
I am surprised that in all these years nobody has attempted a sequel; there were at least three sequels to Pet Semetary (and, of course, some non-Stephen King horror movies, such as The Howling and Nightmare on Elm Street, seem to have unlimited sequels). Another pair of Sleepwalkers somewhere else, maybe in a big city. Sussmanbern (talk) 02:23, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
What unpublished novel?
editSorry but Stephen King has been quoted as saying, " I decided to take what I'd learned and write an original screenplay, and I had a bloody good time doing it," about sleepwalkers. So where does this notion come from?18abruce (talk) 15:59, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
