Ou Grietjie
editThere is a canon in the museum in the Voortrekker Monument that is labeled as being Grietjie. Obviously both canon can not be the Grietjie, so one of them is labeled incorrectly. --NJR_ZA (talk) 22:00, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- Further searching provide the following information, the name “Grietjie” was often given to these weapons in Belgium and Holland and the name may well have been carried over to South Africa.[1], so it seems that it is quite possible that there are more than one gun called Grietjie. --NJR_ZA (talk) 23:11, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
