editThe page at Solomons (disambiguation) was created to deal with the many Solomons links that redirected incorrectly to the nation state Solomon Islands. This generated a huge number of pages that linked to the disambiguation page. The first solution to this was to redirect Solomons to Solomon Islands (archipelago), which conveniently reduced the page links to zero. However, this didn't always take people to where they needed to go as the use of the term Solomons in many pages has been a little indisciplined. Although most of those page links need to go to the archipelago some need to go to one or other of the pages in the disambig, such as Solomon Islands or the British Solomon Islands, although I have manually changed some of them since. Also, it captures every search on Solomons and takes them to Solomon Islands (archipelago). I have redirected Solomons to Solomons (disambiguation) because I think that we just need to deal with all those links over time and distribute them to wherever they need to go. Solomons links here, which creates a large number of incoming links. Refer talk at Solomons to discuss, or just fix the links, all the WW2 items probably need to go to Solomon Islands (archipelago).Ex nihil (talk) 15:54, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
