Somaliland Police → Somaliland Police Force – The initial creator of the article used a short name instead of the full name like Botswana Police Force or Royal Brunei Force. A redirect was made over time which currently prevents the page move. DownTownRich (talk) 17:13, 16 April 2021 (UTC) —Relisting. ~ Aseleste (t, e | c, l) 01:38, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). – Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 20:51, 16 April 2021 (UTC)
- I see this move was contested as being controversial, but the official name is Somaliland Police Force not Somaliland Police. DownTownRich (talk) 08:57, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Whatever the official name, what matters is the WP:COMMONNAME. --John B123 (talk) 12:02, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- I support this. The police force in Somaliland is more commonly known as "Somaliland Police Force" as well so it only makes sense for it to follow articles about other police forces. Dabaqabad (talk) 12:33, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. No evidence has been presented demonstrating that the proposed title is the more common name for this topic. To the contrary, in the NY Times I find eight references to "Somaliland Police"[1], and none to "Somaliland Police Force". Ngrams also indicate the current titie is more commonly used. —В²C ☎ 05:15, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. Current name is trivially more concise so it is quite impossible that the longer name would be more common. Andrewa (talk) 14:45, 1 May 2021 (UTC)
