I am a Japanese user, who mainly contribute to the Japanese version of Wikipedia.
Just recently, I translated this article into Japanese.
In the way, I noticed that some articles in English Wikipedia confuse this singer with another Sonny West, or Del 'Sonny' West, a bodyguard and friend of Elvis Presley. Delbert 'Sonny' West met then president Nixon with Presley, and his name appears often in biographies of Presley, of which at least two of them are authored by West himself.
I found one webpage that clearly state those two people are different persons, but it is a personal website and less sufficient in credibility.
Sonny West: Listen People
If anyone could provide more reliable source to distinguish achievements of those people, it will be a great help. Please enlighten me with better sources, hopefully on the web. Of course, it is more than welcome to see someone wrote an article about Delbert 'Sonny' West. --山田晴通 (talk) 02:42, 12 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
