dob reverted
editWhy was dob reverted? The source is a combination of Google search (for year) and this tweet (for month and day): https://mobile.twitter.com/sonya_cassidy/status/838465267378311168. Is a source always required for a dob? If so, how is it referenced? Jrw1234 (talk) 04:56, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
(Also the responses to that tweet verify the month and day.) Jrw1234 (talk) 04:58, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
Meant to tag the above with @IJBall: Jrw1234 (talk) 05:02, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Google searches do not qualify as WP:RS. And a birth date without a birth year is generally considered "trivia" – too trivial to include. If a source can be found that states her age, that can be sometimes be used in combination with something like the tweet to give a WP:DOB.... But, yes – a Reliable source is always required for a DOB, as per WP:BLPPRIVACY, and in some cases substantial sourcing will be required. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 12:15, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
