Launch and Recovery
editDoesn't the article require two more sections on Launch and Recovery of spacecraft separately.DS 10:09, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
The others
editThe Main Page DYK entry says "India's SRE 1 spacecraft successfully completes a twelve-day orbital test flight, making India one of the few nations to return a craft from orbit." - who are the other nations who have done this? Johntex\talk 16:07, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
They are US, France, Russia, China and Japan. [1]. Shahab 17:18, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- This is wrong, neither France nor Europe/ESA have ever returned a spacecraft to Earth FROM ORBIT. The Atmospheric Reentry Demonstrator was at nearly orbital speeds, but was suborbital. The correct list is US, Russia, China and Japan in historic order. To be comprehensive, the only successful landing from orbit by Europe was on Titan, with Huygens. Hektor 13:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Too many pictures?
editWhile I fully support the use of fair use photos in this article and they clearly meet criterion 1, does anyone else feel there's too many? Especially with the gallery 203.109.240.93 15:00, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- We're up to six now. If they were free images, they'd be fine, but they're all fair-use images, and I agree there's definitely too many. --Interiot 00:51, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- I have removed all but two of the images. I have also e-mailed ISRO to ask about releasing their images under a free licence. —xyzzyn 17:36, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
