Removed picture of firefighter
editI removed the picture for several reasons:
- It added no pertinent information to the article: there are clear pictures of the medal and ribbon already, and this seemed like perhaps a vanity edit.
- It was potentially confusing to those seeking to learn about British phaleristics: the firefighter was - contrary to official regulations - wearing two unofficial medals in uniform, as well as wearing a relative's medal while in uniform.
- One of these unofficial medals was similar in colouring to the Special Constabulary Long Service Medal - I was in fact alerted to this article by a friend with a new interest in phaleristics who was confused about why the medal looked different in the picture to what was described.
I would suggest that if a photo of the medal being worn would improve the article, that next time a photo where the Special Constabulary Long Service Medal is in a place of prominence, that unofficial medals are not present, and that regulations concerning wearing of medals are properly being followed.
