– Wikipedia policy, outlined in WP:CRITS, is to "avoid sections and articles focusing on criticisms or controversies". I've edited the article to reflect this, moving all of the errors listed and other critique to a section titled "Reception". And following your lead, I have fixed the wikilinks to this Inaccuracies article to point to Statue one instead. Now we need to determine the better location for the edit history for ease of review and of attribution. If we want the content of Inaccuracies, a WP:PAGESWAP probably should occur, so that the corresponding edit history reside under the proper page title. A merge without a page move works just as well. That was on the {{Kobe Bryant}} navbox, where I'd added this page without knowing of the stub article. It seems that this is a fuller article, and a merge to this one, with the changed name, would centralize the information about the statue. Randy Kryn (talk) 00:29, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello. I originally created this article to talk about the Inaccuracies and Controversies on The Kobe Bryant Memorial Statue. I saw that a name change to, The Statue of Kobe Bryant was requested which I supported. I saw another article under the name, The Statue of Kobe Bryant created after mine. I believe my article is fuller than the one made after, so i think this article being renamed to "The Statue of Kobe Bryant" and the other being deleted or both articles being incorporated into one would be the best option. This Requested move will now extend into 10 days tomorrow on March 26, 2024 and I hope this issue can be resolved. If you have any suggestions I will be happy to hear them. I understand where the confusion from the other article brewed from. Originally the article only ever mentioned Inaccuracies and Controversies on The Kobe Bryant Memorial Statue, not a centralized article on the entire statue. Someone probably made the other article not realizing others had edited this one to be a whole overview of the statue with the public reception only being a small chunk. The title also makes it confusing which is why I'm advocating for this to be the main Kobe Bryant Statue article as it has all the information and is fuller. You can ask someone at Wikipedia:Closure requests to close this discussion, but they may decline, citing the exception at WP:RMCI#Relisting: When a new page move request is added to one that is already seven days old, the RMCD bot places the notification tag on the newly added page that day, and the discussion must go a full seven days (more) before being closed.
