editplease do not delete my article on Princess Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi. I am new on wikipedia and still learning how to update and edit articles. Thanks.Eunicecheri (talk) 17:35, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Page title
edit- I'm honestly not sure. Some of the sources refer to her as princess, but the Daily Trust article calls her "Mrs. Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi". I'm going to ask about sourcing over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Nigeria. Meelar (talk) 04:46, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
My guess would be that that's a mistake on the part of those writers/editors, mistaking "Princess" for a title; I mean, what is she supposed to be princess of, otherwise? Though this is just speculation, and I agree that outside help would be good.Roscelese (talk ⋅ contribs) 05:21, 11 July 2011 (UTC)- Looking at Monarchies in Africa, she could be related somehow to the monarch of Kano. The original article also mentioned that she was born into the "Royal Home of Igwe D.O. Oduah of Akili-Ozizor". I'm not sure what that refers to. Meelar (talk) 05:55, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Good call - searching on that, I was able to find this. Do you know how Wikipedia generally handles this sort of thing? Roscelese (talk ⋅ contribs) 16:48, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Naming conventions (royalty and nobility) would seem to indicate that we shouldn't include Princess in the article title, but it didn't give a lot of specific guidance. I'm going to be bold and move this to Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi, leaving a redirect behind. Let me know if you disagree. Meelar (talk) 21:17, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
