edit

Still need a full list of games published - underdogs list seems pretty complete. Stan 07:18, 6 Nov 2003 (UTC)

World of Aden: Thunderscape

edit

I added this to 1990, but I don't know the actual release date. The date on MobyGames is incorrect since it's sequel was released that year (1995). So 1990 was an educated guess—5 years seems like a reasonable lag for a sequel. If anyone knows the acutal year, please move it (and update MobyGames too! :-) ). — Frecklefoot | Talk 16:30, 8 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nope, Moby is correct. Searching Usenet, Thunderscape seems to have been released in August 1995, and Entomorph in October. TerokNor 20:39, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Move list to article of its own

edit

I think the list of games is too long for this article and should be moved to its own article, say List of Strategic Simulations, Inc. games. Anyone second the motion? — Frecklefoot | Talk 21:31, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Support. Yes, I think that makes sense. -Slordak 21:45, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Support Common sense move. Coll7 00:43, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's good enough for me! I went ahead and moved it. Please see the question I posed on its talk page. :-) — Frecklefoot | Talk 15:29, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Confused about game and game engines

edit

The artical says that Panzer general 2 was unsuccessful that to my knowledge is untrue. It then says panzer general III scorched earth is based on the same engin as Peoples General that is untrue. Peoples general is based on the Panzer General 2 engine. Panzer general III scorched earth is build on the same engine as Panzer General 3D.

Does someone wish to fix this up? otherwise i can if ive got time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wonx2150 (talkcontribs)

It sounds like you know the straight dope. So, go for it! :-) — Frecklefoot | Talk 14:20, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:SSI-0.PNG

edit

Image:SSI-0.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:43, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Using the "Inc."

edit

In April of last year, this article was moved from Strategic Simulations, Inc. to Strategic Simulations. I have never known this company to be called by this name. In my experience, the company was either called "SSI" or "Strategic Simulations, Inc." I would like to move this back, but I want to hear any objections first.--Mike Selinker (talk) 23:39, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
