Requested move
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was move to Straw man (dummy), with no prejudice for any future merge with Scarecrow if a formed consensus supports it. JPG-GR (talk) 00:07, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Straw man (literal) → Straw man (physical), Straw man (tool), Straw man (object), Straw man (item), Straw man (agricultural), Straw man (dummy) or Straw dummy — The current disambiguation word "literal" seems a little unusual. I can understand the explanation, "Literally a straw man", but it would seem unusual to someone unfamiliar with the figurative sense of "straw man". Thus, I'd suggest that the disambiguation be made with something related to the subject rather than how it is not another subject. — —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 10:27, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

- Support move to Straw man (dummy) or Straw man (mannequin). Current page title made me smirk though. --erachima talk 10:33, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Straw man (dummy) makes sense; a mannequin implies more rigidity. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 15:16, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Merge → Scarecrow . inasmuch as this straw man is merely a stub, and there's really very little else to be said in this article that wouldn't be already covered in scarecrow--emerson7 15:23, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Straw man (dummy) is OK; Straw man (human figure) also came to mind. Deor (talk) 22:20, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
