• I'm not clear on what is meant by "barbs".

• The description of the Houghton portrait mentions that it's one of three- this one is the second, but what's the third? Also, is the Houghton portrait actually black and white, or is that just our photo of it?

• Three looks to be incorrect; the source gives two. As for black-and-white, Edwards appears to have taken the image from a previous publication, perhaps a catalogue, as he has not been allowed to look at it. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 00:38, 16 February 2014 (UTC)

• Can I ask what makes you sure J. Stephan Edwards's website is reliable?

• Edwards completed his dissertation on Jane, entitled "Jane the Queen: A New Consideration of Lady Jane Grey, England's Nine-Days Queen" in 2007 at the University of Colorado; it won the "Graduate Committee on the Arts and Humanities Dissertation Award" from the university (source). He has published in History Today (here; about another portrait of Jane), and provided a review for a children's book on the subject (here). Paula R. Backscheider cites Some Grey Matter in her book Elizabeth Singer Rowe and the Development of the English Novel (Johns Hopkins University Press; 2013), again about Grey. Eric Ives mentions his views in Lady Jane Grey: A Tudor Mystery, and Yale Alumni Magazine quotes him on the Yale miniature here. Some less reliable sites out there also cite him regarding Jane; this one gives a fairly in-depth interview.
