editWhat does this article give the reader that the articles on the films don't? Everything here is documented in each of the films' pages. It's also not written too well. (Example: "Stuart Little's back in an all new animated adventure!") Is an AfD in order? —DangerousJXD (talk) 21:43, 24 October 2015 (UTC)
- DangerousJXD, I think I disagree with you that this article isn't useful. It seems to me that if the series as a whole is notable, then it is useful having an article that summarizes the franchise. Sure, someone could go to four separate articles and compare the cast lists in each one to see if the people playing different characters changed, but it is much easier to do that if it is all listed in one place. Also, providing a brief summary of each film all in one place seems useful. Also, I'm not aware of any guideline that would make having a case list in this article inappropriate. Cast lists like that seem to be pretty standard in articles on film series. If there is actually a guideline that prohibits cast lists like that, please find it and link to it. Furthermore, I think it is appropriate to mention the TV series if it was a spinoff from the film series (which I think is the case). It seems appropriate to mention other media related to the film series in an article on the film series. Calathan (talk) 22:07, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, Calathan. I was not referring to the cast list, I was referring to character lists. Character lists are inappropriate. Yes the cast is there too but the cast is already mentioned in the plot sections. An old fashion plain list of the cast is usually fine but not pointing out minor characters like that. I'm a lazy bum so I won't go find the guideline but it's out there somewhere. Including information on a television show is 50/50 to me. It's barely related and the article is supposed to be about the films as pointed out by the title. Could it be better off as a see also link? The film series itself is a tad confusing. From what I can gather, the second one is a sequel, then the third one seems like a spinoff. Then there's a reboot which sort of makes you question whether they are all apart of the same series. They probably all are one series but the spinoff nature of the third one and the presence of a reboot makes me question it. Anyway, I really don't care about the article because I don't care for what it's about. I stumbled upon the article one day and thought it was pointless. That's why I'm actually here. I'll be going now though. —DangerousJXD (talk) 02:21, 1 December 2015 (UTC)
Film Descriptions
editI don't know what the creator of the article was thinking was when he wrote the descriptions for the films, but apparently his descriptions is what is making the article a suspect to be deleted. I will take it upon myself to rewrite the descriptions so that way the article can stay. I don't want this article to go, I just got done adding a reference to a reboot film. I want a remake of the 3rd movie!
editIt has already been announced that there will be a Stuart Little remake in 2018 or 2019. It will actually be a live-action remake of Stuart Little 3 and it will be delayed until 2021 or 2022 because they need more time to work on the 3D animation effects. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.191.148.95 (talk) 00:26, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
What Stuart’s parents do for a living
editIn the director’s commentary for Stuart Little 2, the director said that Stuart’s dad works at the New York Museum of Natural History, and that Stuart’s mom works as a music teacher at the school Stuart and George go to. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:8BF9:45F0:2999:DD7:7B36:125E (talk) 17:49, 17 February 2019 (UTC) Actually, now that I think about it more, I now remember the director saying Mrs. Little was an art teacher. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:8BF9:45F0:2999:DD7:7B36:125E (talk) 22:56, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
