I created this page as an exercise in a Wikipedia workshop on translation from English to Afrikaans.

I chose this page to translate, for two reasons:

I know the film, and thought it would be better to translate something on a topic that I am familiar with.
I consider the film notable and worth describing for people who can understand English but not Afrikaans.

It is unfortunate that the author of the original article (in Afrikaans) did not add more information about it, explaining its importance, not just in the context of Afrikaans films, but of South African films. I could try to write something for the English version of the article, but I do not consider myself an expert in Afrikaans or South African films. I think a better option would be to ask the author of the original article.
