tone in last paragraph

I think the last paragraph regarding the .com and .net sites could stand to be reworded. Luke 23:40, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC) Done.--207.148.148.163 02:12, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Supr is dead! ==

Greetings everybody, As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up! But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it. We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links. We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything. Thank you all that helped us, by donating mirrors or something else, by uploading and seeding files, by helping people out on IRC and on forum, by spreading the word about SuprNova.org. It is a sad day for all of us! Please visit SuprNova.org every once in a while to get the latest news on what is happening and if there is anything new to report on. As we wish to maintain the nice comunity that we created, we are keppig forums and irc servers open. Thank you all and Goodbye! sloncek & the rest of the SuprNova Team —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ashdurbat (talkcontribs) 17:42, 19 December, 2004 (UTC)

Closure FAQ.

The orginal page is 404 compliant, so I made it an archive.org link. The FAQ was removed by the time archive.org got to it. -- Derfy 18:37, 25 August 2005 (UTC)

Basic writing rules

"Later, Sloncek revealed ..." Slon-who ? New words/names should be introduced/explained first, and used aftewards. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.253.102.145 (talkcontribs) 15:58, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

Factual accuracy problem

Unless someone can cite caselaw backing up

These torrent files that point to copyright protected works are illegal in several countries, including the United States

I think we ought to politely reword it to make clear that that's wishful thinking on the part of the Associations. I'm all about allowing artists to make money off their work, but the rules are, in fact, the rules, and playing into the hands of those who want to make them unworkably tight by implying that they already are isn't especially useful. --Baylink 00:39, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

AFAIK, the DMCA and similar laws (I believe Australia is getting similar laws thanks to their FTA with the US and I know the EU were considering a DMCA like law) makes it so. Actually this might be a bit misleading, it's not your responsibility to censor you content. However you are required to take down the link when you receive a valid DMCA notice. I'm not particularly clear on the law but certain torrent sites do comply with the DMCA and take down the content, when served with a valid notice. Nil Einne 00:05, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

Deleted revisions

Hi, just to let everyone know and clear up any possible confusion that might arise due to this, I deleted two revisions of this page where User:2fktup inserted Slonček's address into the article. These were located between this and this revision, and included one by User:203.173.136.249 on 13:18, 3 November 2006, which now appears to have been made by me (in reality, what I actually did was remove the address prior to deleting the offending revisions). -- Schnee (cheeks clone) 21:16, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

SuprNova's offspring radio stations...

Today I added reference to SuprNova's partnership in an internet radio station of the same name, "SuprNova Radio". Though the radio station was a brief period in the website's life, it eventually spun out several other internet radio stations, all of which say a modest listener base. These radio stations were vibrant interactive online communities and developed a close circle of early torrent developers and coders. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 156.34.188.117 (talk) 03:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC). Suprnova.org is dead

...and the domain has been squatted. I think we should remove it. --207.62.233.2 03:09, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Suprnova.org.Logo.png

Image:Suprnova.org.Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Since it's now back (Categories)

Since it's back, even though it was defunct for quite a time, should it still be in Category:defunct websites ? 81.105.243.17 (talk) 19:24, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
