'water safety and drowning prevention authority'

edit

The text has been changed to reflect the following. The peak body for water safety in Australia is the Australian Water Safety Council (AWSC) while there are a number of other organisations apart from the SLSA with an interest and specific expertise in drowning and its prevention. These include Royal Life Saving Society Australia and the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) - the latter publishes the national guideline for the resuscitation of a drowned person (i.e. Guideline 9.3.2).
