Relationship with that McGann fellow
editPaul McGann's wikipedia page says his relationship with Susannah Harker began in 2003. Susannah Harker's page says her relationship with McGann began in 2006. Oscar?
editOdd that the BBC should be wrong but there is no other evidence that Harker received an Academy Award nomination for House of Cards or any other work. In any case, since it had no theatrical release, the series would be ineligible for consideration. --Dhartung | Talk 07:07, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Great uncles?
editAccording to The Internet Movie Data Base, Susannah and Caroline Harker are great-nieces of Gordon Harker. This Wikipedia article, however, says they are great-nieces of Gordon Adams. Of course, the Misses Harker could have two great-uncles named Gordon, but even if they did, brief biographies such as this tend to mention only noteworthy relatives, especially if in the same line of work. And there was a well-known actor named Gordon Harker (1885-1967). Quite a few web sites state that he is related to Susannah's family, and TVRage.com's entry on Susannah Harker includes persuasive detail:
Susannah belongs to a long theatrical tradition. Her great-great-great-grandfather was an actor called William Pierpoint Harker, whose son Joseph Harker (1856-1927) was a scene painter in the London theatre. He was a friend of the writer Bram Stoker, who named the hero of Dracula (Jonathan Harker) after him. One of Joseph's sons was the veteran character actor Gordon Harker (1885-1967), who was Susannah's great-great-uncle.
I cannot speak from personal knowledge, but taking all of this into consideration, I'd guess that ″Gordon Adams″ is an error for ″Gordon Harker.″ Philippachaucer (talk) 05:43, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Name
editSo is "Harker" used by her and her sister(s) as a tribute to their ancestors? Following through from the Joseph Harker article to here, it seems their mother (his great-granddaughter) was born "Adams", and since their father's surname is "Owens" it's not clear how the "Harker" is in play except as a stage name.
