Welsh or American?

edit
  • I realize that Christopher was born in Wales, but she lived since the early 1960s in the US -- 50 years of her 80 years. Did she still identify as "Welsh" rather than "American"? I suppose it also matters in terms of figuring out English or American spelling / notation / etc. --Lquilter (talk) 17:52, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
She was in her thirties when she moved to the States and had no American ancestry at all, i.e. she was ethnically Welsh. In one of the reference sources she referred to herself and Burton as "two Welsh kids on the Queen Mary, traveling first-class". There doesn't seem to be anything identifying her as American. Burton has always been described as Welsh, even though he lived in the US for decades. Regarding the spelling etc, since the article was started using the American spelling, it might as well stay that way – it doesn't matter too much, I don't think.
