An IP address, as part of a batch of several edits (most involving small changes), recently removed large amounts of material without explanation. This material was inadequately sourced (no inline citations). However, a quick search indicates that at least some of it is sourcable, and perhaps most or all of it. More specifically, the IP removed mention of the 1599 Synod of Diamper which as it turns out has its own Wikipedia article with inline citations. Rather than deleting the rest of the material, perhaps sources can be found? At any rate, please explain and justify any deletions of the deleted (and now restored) material on this talk page. Thank you. -- Presearch (talk) 18:50, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Merger of content from Thrissur Diocese
editThe page Thrissur Diocese is on the same topic as this page, and has to be merged here. That page needs to go back to being a disambiguation page. The Discoverer (talk) 17:43, 30 May 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, both are same topics. Can be merged.-❙❚❚❙❙ GnOeee ❚❙❚❙❙ ✉ 07:52, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Name: Trichur or Thrissur
editCatholic-Hierarcy.org and GCatholic.org call this the "Archeparchy of Trichur (Syro-Malabar)" and "Syro-Malabar Metropolitan Archdiocese of Trichur", respectively.[1][2]. Should this article be renamed to use "Trichur" instead of "Thrissur"? — Archer1234 (t·c) 16:06, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- Considering that the formal name given by the archeparchal website uses Trichur, I'm led to think we should change the article name. I'm going to BOLDly move it and, if someone disagrees, we can have a standard move discussion. ~ Pbritti (talk) 16:16, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
