The article states that the Ethiopic tradition is that the Ark of the Covenant arrived here from Elephantine in Egypt. This statement is not supported by a reference. The only place I have seen this before was in a book written by Graham Hancock called "The Sign and the Seal". The Ethiopic tradition as I understand it is that The Ark arrived by sea, brought here by Menelik, son of Solomon by the Queen of Sheba. This version is related in the Ethiopian holy book called the Kebra Negast. Can anyone with more expertise discuss this discrepancy? Thanks! Ffejmopp (talk) 15:39, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
- The Menilik legend is a Christina Invention. The Jews of Ethiopia, where there first, tell show it came from the Elephantine Island. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.29.233.157 (talk) 15:55, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
