Tapas
editThe article states: "Earliest reference of this word is to be found in the Rgveda-8.82.7, where its is used in the sense 'pain, suffering' (Monier-Williams)". However, in looking at the Veda reference, I don't find the word "tapas" or anything related to it. 8.82.7 SanskritAnd the English translation reads: "7 We make this Indra very strong to strike the mighty Vṛtra dead: A vigorous Hero shall he be." 8.82.7 EnglishSomaeye (talk) 07:59, 3 September 2010 (UTC)
