Fair use rationale for Image:Radjpjp3.jpg

edit

Image:Radjpjp3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ERB fee for cinema licence?

edit

How much money is typically charged by the Burroughs estate for film rights, should a studio want to make a movie about Tarzan? knoodelhed (talk) 23:44, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

  • That's not the type of information that would be included in a Wikipedia article. Plus, while film right costs sometimes make news (usually in the context of rights being withdrawn or something), this information is rarely made public. No one knows how much Eon Productions paid (or continues to pay) Ian Fleming and Ian Fleming Publications to retain the film rights to James Bond. 23skidoo (talk) 17:20, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

1981 film should be under remakes

edit

Remakes are (for some reason) included alongside serials in the chart. By that standard, the 1981 film Tarzan the Ape Man should be in the remakes section as it was the second remake of the first Weissmuller film. 70.73.90.119 (talk) 05:00, 8 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Carry On film

edit

I removed the Carry On film from the unauthorized list. It was a parody of the Tarzan/jungle film genre and not based on any Burroughs story, nor does Tarzan appear, unlike others on the list. I moved it into the See Also as it wasn't appropriate to include alongside other films noted as being unauthorized by the ERB estate. 23skidoo (talk) 17:17, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
