editComments in response to Wikipedia:Deletion policy/Teletraffic Engineering. I think that this is too much directed towards the technical side of Tariffing and too little towards the marketing and social side. It may also be seen as a little naïve. Aspects which should be covered include
- mobile phone subsidies
- loss leaders
- non call charges
- supplementary services
- SMSs
- roaming charges in mobile networks
- imperfect information => ineffective competition
- the influence of regulation
- tarriff complexity
- differentiation (business vs. consumer)
For example, I understand that actually call charges on some mobile networks are actually run at a loss whilst other charges make reasonably large profits.
I don't yet see any other page which this directly duplicates, so it probably represents a useful contribution Mozzerati 17:31, 2005 Apr 9 (UTC)
