Suggestion If one starts listing film artists, poets, scholars of all kinds etc there is no end to it. Only the most famous persons can be retained.

I feel that more information on the ancestry of the telugu people needs to be gathered and added to this page. I feel that would be more relevant than the lists of names that the page displays (not that im averse to those). vijaysheel.k

Telugus profess/believe/practice varied religions/faiths. I feel that the religion row in the table on the top right of the page needs to be deleted or edited with the list of common religions that the telugu people profess. Kindly suggest /comment.

Wonderful collection of some facts. It is evident that influence of WRONG HISTORY that is being fed by the "Educational instituions" is clearly seen. Why No Women?

The infobox for Telugu People is represented only by male images and no single female. Some males has to be replaced with female personalities. The common criteria should be 1/3 of Historical (pre-19th century), 1/3 of recent 20th century figures and balance with contemporary figures of both sexes. Women need not be strictly 50% but at least 40%. It should also not be a celebrity wall. but should best represent the different kind of Telugu people at different eras. What based?

I got a doubt, kindly clarify. To define Telugu people, what is the criteria, 1. Ethnicity 2. Language 3. Culture 4. Religion or 5. Current Telugu area. Because the telugu land has different languages, religions states, cultures and the ethnicity. Number of telugu speaking people may be seen in AP and Telangana and who are muslims and christians. Alike, many people residing in Telugu land (Telugu nadu) who are Jains, Christians, Sikhs and Muslims. Can't we call these people as "Telugu people"? I feel ethnicity of telugu has many other religious people too, and we have to write this article with BROADER VISION. Ahmed Nisar (talk) 09:13, 23 February 2015 (UTC)

"Telugu people" should refer to the Telugu-speaking people, along with the culture that goes with the language. Religion is not an issue. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 18:23, 27 December 2017 (UTC)

That's fine. It presumably means we can massively trim List of Telugu people because a lot of the names in that list do not have sources showing that they actually speak/spoke Telugu, merely that they came from the region. - Sitush (talk) 18:27, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
