Relevance

edit

What relevance/value does the statement “The Oberlin College Libraries have a poster for the film.” add to the notability of the article. I’m sure that the college has numerous film posters in their library collection, what makes this film poster so significant? Dan arndt (talk) 12:57, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Was being shown as late as 1949

edit

I found a advertisement for this film in the February 20, 1949 Selma Times-Journal via Newspapers.com (page 20 - although due to some quirks in the way the issue was digitized, Newspapers.com treats it as page 28). It says "First Showing in Selma. All Colored Cast". It was scheduled to be shown at the Roxy Theatre in Selma.

I just wanted to mention this so that people know to expand the date range of their searches. Good luck! Zagalejo^^^ 01:00, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
