Kiefer's Ear

edit

It would appear they photoshopped the cigarette out of Kiefer's ear! Is this at all notable? Maybe trivia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.5.233.114 (talk) 04:55, 9 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

They also "photoshopped" out Samuel L. Jackson's name and his daughter's face. Where Jackson's name should have been, Keifer's name is instead. Hell, Christina Ricci isn't even shown on the poster and her name is in big bold letters at the top. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.23.217 (talk) 02:22, 31 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Question

edit

When will the ability to purchase a credit end? -Litefantastic 18:03, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

imdb has removed the credits

edit

I don't know their reasoning, but all of the credits have been removed. That needs to be addressed in this article. User:Zoe|(talk) 23:30, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

No they haven't. You just have to click on "full cast and crew". -- Kicking222 00:50, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Isn't that odd? They weren't there earlier today, but now they are. User:Zoe|(talk) 02:30, 17 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
The list of producers have been removed from imdb. They have been replaced by a "Producers of the 1 Second Film" credit, which reads "This name represents the producers of The 1 Second Film (2008) since the list is too large and time consuming to represent fully here, sorry. Please visit the official site for the complete updated list.".--SeizureDog 16:00, 19 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure where one could find an official reference for this, but there was a LOT of controversy (including threats of lawsuits) when IMDB removed individual credits for this movie. This is because the people running the project had used the ability to add your profile to imdb.com as a selling point to get people to become a "producer" for the film. To be specific, imdb.com doesn't allow one to have an entry unless one has verifiable professional credits to one's name. So they were appealing to thousands of wanna-be directors, actors, etc... to give money to the project with the incentive that they could add their name to imdb.com after donating. Then when imdb.com took this away, thousands of people demanded their money back because they no longer had what they were promised. TheGoonSquad (talk) 01:11, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
WOW, according to the 1secondblog, the actual ENTRY for the film is now gone from IMDB. And I searched for it, even based on the director's name -- nowhere to be found. WTF!? 199.214.26.226 (talk) 21:22, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Confirm that the movie is not listed on IMDB as of 2015, Mullick has only these three films listed: Caine's Arcade (2012); The Three of Us (2003) ;The Box Man (2002). — Brianhe (talk) 16:01, 13 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

65mm film???

edit

The second paragraph says that it is filmed in 65mm, the final paragraph says it is shown in 70mm as does the official website... I dont understand filming well, but I assume this is a mistake?

Kiefer Sutherland's check

edit

Take a closer look at his check, note the routing numbers are 24 24 24..., certainly a reference to his role as Jack Bauer on the television program "24." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.49.22.45 (talk) 21:30, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Imitators?

edit

I seem to remember hearing about other film projects which imitated this film's fundraising process (of soliciting small donations from lots of people). Does anyone know the names of those other films and if any of them ever got completed? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 18:33, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

why would anyone want to delete this?

Nirvan Mullick

edit

I think that Nirvan Mullick should have his own page and not a redirect to The 1 Second Film - User:Brianbowie 28/10/09 —Preceding undated comment added 10:51, 28 October 2009 (UTC).Reply

Full list of producers?

edit

This article leans toward a complaint that imdb removed a full list of producers. Why doesn't wikipedia have a full list of producers? I think it's worthy of being here. Heck, I'll do it if no one removes it afterward. Farglesword (talk) 06:38, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Why?

edit

Why is this listed on nearly every celeb's page? Seems like an unnotable distinction... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.145.240.99 (talk) 19:55, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Progress?

edit

Anyone have any idea what happened to this project? It's been 11 years. 75.72.193.194 (talk) 18:01, 14 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I took a look at their website, and it claims to be still in development, which is pretty baffling. How long can it possibly take to make a one-second long film? Robofish (talk) 16:44, 13 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
What are they spending the money on ? How much would an hour-long making of documentary cost ? -- Beardo (talk) 03:13, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
