American release?

edit

Has is, or will it, be released in USA? 71.171.89.90 (talk) 21:10, 9 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

According to some sources (Washington Post and http://boxofficemojo.com/search/?q=The%20Admiral&sort=gross&showpage=1&p=.htm), it was released on August 8th and has grossed $1.5 mill. But other sources (including the ones I gave on the article page, gave the opening as a week later and the gross (in both cases, no dates are given) as a bit less. Note that it started in a few theatres and only added a few more as of latest reports. Even though I found data on it at boxofficemojo by searching, it is not listed in their tables, e.g., her: http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2014-08-08&view=7day&p=.htm .211.225.33.104 (talk) 01:17, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Dubbed or subtitles?

edit

Is the American release dubbed or with subtitles? One trailer (http://www.movieweb.com/movie/roaring-currents/international-trailer-2) has subtitles with some poor English (jeesh: millions to make the movie and then apparently not willing to spend money on getting a native speaker to check the translation.) 211.225.33.104 (talk) 01:27, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Subtitles, but they're pretty well done 155.213.224.59 (talk) 16:07, 24 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Box office

edit

The figures on ticket sales etc. are a bit unclear. What is domestic and what is international?

Also, under international releases, there is only mention of North America. Is that, in fact, the only place outside of the ROK that it has been released? The director said (http://forums.soompi.com/discussion/2023835/current-movie-2014-the-admiral-roaring-currents-the-most-watched-film-of-all-time-in-korea/p2) that he hoped it would be released in Japan.!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.225.33.104 (talk) 03:20, 18 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

The critical response section has a copyedit need template. The statements in this section do not make sense, however, the cited sources are in Korean, which I do not speak, so I could not correct or edit. Someone who reads Korean, please assist here.
