"the 8 movies to pair Karloff & Lugosi"

edit

It would be very interesting to list these eight (if they were eight indeed, I don't know it) films which featured Messrs. Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. --h_a 00:07, 2 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

There were only 6. The Black Cat, The Raven, The Invisible Ray, The Son of Frankenstein, Black Friday, and The Body Snatcher. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.132.166.120 (talk) 21:40, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
There also were Gift of Gab and You'll Find Out, but the pair only cameoed in the former, and the latter was a comedy. I assume that's where the original figure came from. --Popplewick (talk) 22:03, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Actually there were 8 - You'll Find Out and The Body Snatcher were for RKO films and for Universal there were 6 - The Black Cat, The Raven, The Invisible Ray, Son of Frankenstein, Black Friday, plus minor cameo performances in Gift of Gab. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.245.210 (talk) 08:47, 3 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Black cat poster.jpeg

edit

Image:Black cat poster.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Legacy of Great War

edit

Isn't this movie also an expression of the legacy of the Great War, the Armageddon crucible of the 20th Century? A monumental satanic horror show that was spawning further demonic horrors of revenge and retribution in the vein of Hitler at the time the film was made. In that sense the movie was a worthy allegory and excellent expression of the zeitgeist of this period.Tom Cod (talk) 19:48, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sounds like speculation to me; see WP:OR. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:17, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Expansion

edit

Since the film is considered significant, more should be added to this article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 01:35, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
