Orphaned references in The Conners
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of The Conners's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Lanford an "exurb"?
editI'm not sure if this is correct. From what I remember about the old episodes, it's quite a distance to Chicago, most likely too far to commute to work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.148.222.203 (talk) 23:27, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
On the original show, the characters always referred to Chicago being an hour or two away if I remember correctly. As for whether anybody could commute to work, none of the characters were depicted as having employment in Chicago during the run of the show (Darlene is written as having lived there during the time in real-life when Roseanne was off the air before the revival), but Chicago was and has always been depicted as being easily accessible to the characters; it's not like hypothetically Dan would have to drive for hours to get there, for example. I do know somebody who commutes two hours in real life; it's not commonplace, but it's realistic depending on where you're going and where your starting point is. Out Of Order
editA few episodes aired out of order during season one, causing continuity issues. I think this should be noted.Daleylife (talk) 05:35, 10 September 2019 (UTC)

Have We Seen Andrea Before?
editWe all know there are two Beckys, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke. In "The Conners", Sarah plays Andrea, allowing Lecy to reprise her role as Becky. But have we actually seen Andrea before? No, I don't mean the actress. I mean the character. I remember in a "Roseanne" episode (one of the Halloween episodes, I believe season 8, although I could be wrong), Roseanne answers the door and on the other side is Sarah Chalke with some trick-or-treaters. Sarah's character jokingly states she wishes she was part of their family. The character's name is never revealed. At the time, we could just chalk it up to a mere joke where Sarah used to be Becky #2 (after Lecy returned), but now looking back, is it possible that she was really Andrea in that scene? I don't think anyone has brought this up before. Thoughts? Jeanlovecomputers (talk) 05:48, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
- It is unlikely that Andrea was supposed to be the same character that showed up at the door during Halloween on "Roseanne." For one, Andrea in "The Conners" had no recollection of ever being at the Conner house before and is something that likely would have been mentioned as an "in joke." The unnamed character Chalk played appeared to be someone who lived in the neighborhood. It is not unusual for actors to play more than one minor character on a TV show. The actress who played Kathy Bowman in "Roseanne" first appeared as an unnamed store clerk at the Lanford Mall. Kathy Bowman had just moved to Lanford from Chicago. She also appeared as a young Bev Harris, in Roseanne's Halloween trip into the past with the ghost. This was merely a plot device to incorporate Chalk into the show as a guest.PNW Raven (talk) 15:28, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
