How much remains ? And what there is.
editThe article never mentions how long the original movie is or whether that is even known.
The way the third sentence of the intro is written ----"Two reels of an estimated total of seven or eight survived and were restored" (my emphasis on "total") ---- sounds like there were "seven or eight" entire/complete copies of the film that exist/survived; yet, the rest of the sentence ---- "rendering the film incomplete" ---- completely negates the thought of a complete copy existing.
- Apparently, some time period -- like "minutes" -- is missing from the sentence (after the "eight").
Also, no where in the article, especially about the restoration, is it mentioned that all intertitles are missing from the movie.
I think these issues should be addressed and corrected.
Any thoughts by anyone? 2600:8800:785:1300:C23F:D5FF:FEC4:D51D (talk) 07:26, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
"Reels" doesn't mean copies of the film; it means that the original film itself filled up approximately 7 or 8 reels. "It is traditional to discuss the length of theatrical motion pictures in terms of 'reels'."[1] That's why it's said that there's no complete copy. Tfns (talk) 17:11, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
