Secondary sources

Are there any Secondary sources available which discusses the background, chronology, motivations of the authors and after publication the reception and subsequent influences of the series?

There is at least an one example of a Secondary source which discusses a book series (similar in scope and circumstances, albeit biographical): Rimi B. Chatterjee, 2004 (she's also a Wikipedian: Rimibchatterjee) in Rulers of India series#Bibliography. Solomon7968 09:45, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Formatting references to this work

I'm not sure of the correct way to reference books in this series. I see them referenced many ways. For the moths I've been working on lately I've been formatting them:

Hampson, G. F. (1895). The Fauna of British India, Including Ceylon and Burma. Vol. Moths Volume III. London: Taylor and Francis – via Biodiversity Heritage Library.

That puts "Moths Volume III" in the volume field of {{cite book}}. Anybody have any feedback on that? Thanks,  SchreiberBike | ⌨  04:28, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

I would probably not use the volume parameter which looks fine in journals but not in books. Adding it to the title seems to be visually more pleasing IMO. Shyamal (talk) 11:23, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
