Summaries edited
editI wrote a full summary of the case - Devil's Suite and will continue to do so for the next cases too. They may have spoilers but still I have decided to include them because Detective Conan, the most famous detective manga has summaries of all the cases in wikipedia. So why not Kindaichi??--Mysterymaniac 20 November, 2014
I think that the book numbers are confused. I have recently finished Playing the Fool, but it was number 12, not number eleven. Anyone care to correct me?--Agreatguy6 17:10, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
Someone made a mistake. It's because Kindaichi the Killer covers both Vol. 10 and 11.
Announced Books
editedit: Question answered on the linked thread..seems like listing books 21-27 on Tokyopop.com are a "database mistake". One that hasn't been fixed in a while and that still doesn't explain the prospected release dates on those pages. Anyway, for now there isn't anything to discuss on the subject.
New info: An ad in Previews Magazine for TokyoPop's May releases lists the Kindaichi volume being released then as "Number 17 of 27." Might be based off those erroneous listings, or may not be.
Motion to remove Takato
editHe's a spoilerish character that has yet to appear in the American releases, why is he on there? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.108.25.62 (talk • contribs)
I tried removing him once before, but he was put back. I guess some people think that he's so integral to the whole story that it's worth the spoilering (like sort of talking about Sherlock Holmes while never bringing up Prof. Moriarty). I don't agree, but I think that's the logic. I want fewer spoilers about him myself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.16.197.84 (talk • contribs)
- Is not there a "Spoiler" warning tag? Springbreak04 01:16, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, but it was just removed as redundant. Might this affect the debate?
Kindaichi's Bike Journey
editSPOILER ALERT Kindaichi's journey on bicycle was referenced as a vacation in the case descriptions. I removed the word "vacation" since he was on a mission to stop a mass murderer from spreading chaos across the world.
First movie
editThough such info is on the character subpage, Kappei Yamaguchi voices the main character though Taiki Matsuno does voice Hajime Kindaichi in the other anime versions... Ranma9617 (talk) 08:01, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Plot summaries
editI have no problem with the plot summaries as a concept, but they are crammed with marketing speak. For example; Will Kindichai make the grade? What the heck? Of course he will attempt to solve the mystery, that is the point of the series. Lots42 (talk) 10:36, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
Notability?
editI don't understand why {{notability}} tag was put on the article. I believe that the notability of this manga is firmly established. It has constantly been covered by independent reliable sources, including kodansha [1], Toei [2], NTV [3] and many others. It is one of the leading mystery manga in Japan and has longer history than Case Closed. Furthermore, this article has been rated as Mid-importance in the importance scale. So I see no reason why this manga is not notable. --Cp111 (talk) 04:12, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
- You have to add the notability in the article itself referenced by reliable sources to add notability to it. Information such as release dates, reception, sales, etc must be added into the article and sourced. So far there are only two sources , once of them tells of manga award which does establish notability but is too minor. Just create a reception section with a bunch of sources and notability should be established. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 07:15, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
- Nevermind, Source one is a dead line so there is no notability in the article. Until notability is established, I'm restoring the tab. DragonZero (talk · contribs) 07:18, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
- Substantial references and reliable sources have been added to the article. The notability criterion should now be met.--Cp111 (talk) 23:58, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

released engl. volumes
editOnly 17 volumes were released. Before vol. 18 was on market, Kodansha stoppped licensing by Tokyopop USA.--178.24.70.200 (talk) 15:24, 14 September 2010 (UTC) When i wrote 17 volumes are available, i mean burial francs is never released. The Kindaichi The Killer consists of two volumes.--95.91.57.61 (talk) 19:23, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
Reviews
editPage cleaned up
editThe page has now been cleaned up of the excessive plot summaries. While plot summaries are allowed, in a series like this they completely dominate the article if placed on the main page. We have chapter lists and now an episode list for to use for this, which keeps the main article down to more general information about the series itself. This makes the article easier to read, easier to see what information is missing, and easier to maintain.
The episode summaries have not been added to the episode list because they do not fit the per episode format, and were summaries of several episodes combined. Therefore, if you wish to split the summaries to fit the per episode format, please use the page history to copy the text to your sandbox or a document.

- Case 10 (43)
- New 14 (57)
- Aniv 5 (62)
- Return 4 (66)
Television drama expansion
editSo, the manga this year has its 5th generation for the live-action adaptation, therefore I think we can make a specific page such as List of The Kindaichi Case Files live-action adaptation and its own page for each adaptation. Mnafisalmukhdi1 (talk) 12:28, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
