- Since Wikipedia is an encylopedia and not a site that reveals the plots of movies what would be most helpful to readers visiting would be a total wipe out of the long plot revelations that exist now and a basic rewrite. All that is needed is a a few lines about the story centering on an overprotective mother who has relocated in order to escape a violent relationship with her husband and how her efforts to keep her son safe cause her to buy a Baby Monitor which plays frightening sounds that don't correspond to reality. In her efforts to figure out what is happening, her obsession with her son's safety escelates, drawing the alarm of Social Workers who do not know or understand the possibly supernatural events that are happening. I would leave it at that so as not to give away any "twists". Then just add a section about the critical reception, Box Office numbers and any awards it may have been nominated for or received. The film is notable in that it was that last Sweidsh language film actress Noomi Rapace played before beginning her English language film career. No doubt she will continue to act in her native language but she is now a sought after actress for English Language roles following her appearance in the Alien "Prequel", Prometheus (2012 film). - Lisa, Wikipedia has guidelines on spoilers here which essentially says not to remove spoilers by their nature. As an encyclopedia, we are expected to be comprehensive about the given topic. Wikipedia's policy at WP:PLOT says the following, "Wikipedia treats fiction in an encyclopedic manner, discussing the reception and significance of notable works in addition to a concise summary." WikiProject Film recommends (at WP:FILMPLOT) for plot summaries to be between 400 and 700 words, but this is with the assumption that the rest of the article is developed. Since this particular article does not have real-world context, it would be appropriate to shorten the summary for that reason only, and to lengthen it in proportion to the rest of the article body.
