Video

edit

This article claims the video was released October 1990... This is not true. I know for a fact the video was released in the mid 80's. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.192.250.98 (talk) 00:20, August 21, 2007 (UTC)

why hasn't anyone changed the cover to the video cover, not the DVD.

I remember there being three girls in JPJ scene, wasn't the third girl, whichever one it was, his daughter too?--Gusiman 02:40, 22 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Original filming

edit

I was a member of the film crew from 7/23/73-7/29/73 and traveled with the band on the Starship. We were not a British film crew as stated in the article. We belonged to NABET Local 15 from NYC, and were rivals of the IATSE, the other NYC film union, that was aligned with the MSG union locals. Zeppelin tried to not pay any of the approxamately 26 NABET crew members for our work and equipment rentals claiming they had no money because of their "$203 million dollar hotel safe "robbery"". The exposed film and sound track were not released to the band until they paid us all in full on 7/30/73. Rogue40 (talk) 10:22, 25 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:TSRTS.jpg

edit

Image:TSRTS.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

End title music

edit

In the film version I saw (circa 1981), the end titles stop after a few minutes but the music (Stairway to Heaven) continues to play for several minutes against a completely black screen. Perhaps this should be mentioned. (As a side note, this technique has been used in a few other films: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, 2001: A Space Odyssey). | Loadmaster (talk) 16:42, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Baltimore

edit

Regarding my edit of adding a link to Baltimore, I don't see how the city of Baltimore is a common term to every English speaker. It is not. I don't know how to prove it, but I can easily find 100 native English speakers that don't know it. It is not more "known" than Berkshire, which is linked few lines above it. In general I believe that cities in the US should be at least followed by their state, if not linked. Even if it is "known" by someone, stating the full name of the city (i.e. by link or by adding the state) is a good practice like mentioning the last name of a person.
