editIllustrated weekly of India was also a part of times group how about adding some info on that
The company has no group website. all this information is from company's extranet portal
There are no citations that can be quoted regarding the group. The group is a closely held on and does not like to talk to media. In the past I've worked for the group for about 6 years and I can vouch that much of the info abt the group is valid. ChiragPatnaik 15:06, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

- That sounds like a nice block of information to add. Do you have a reliable source or sources for the content? If the source is copyrighted, I assume that this is already paraphrased so that there will be no copyright issue.--CaroleHenson (talk) 12:18, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
- It looks like the content is a direct copy of the information at this "About us" page, which does not seem to be copyright protected, as far as I can tell. Where possible, it's best to get information from an Independent source - so that there's an editorial or fact-checking function that has been performed.
- And there are some bits which absolutely need to come from a secondary source:
- The Times Group is India’s largest media conglomerate
- The Times of India – World’s largest circulated English daily
- And there are some bits which absolutely need to come from a secondary source:
- For instance, this source says that "At the beginning of 2012, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) became India's largest media conglomerate". If you could find some more recent sources, that make the assertions, that would be great!
- Please feel free to run any comments or sources you have by me, I would be happy to help.--CaroleHenson (talk) 07:55, 19 March 2015 (UTC)

- Great, TGITInteract! I found some better, more recent sources:

The Times Group, a Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited (BCCL) company, is India’s largest media conglomerate, according to Financial Times in March 2015.[6] The Audit Bureau of Circulations reported in May 2014 that it had the largest circulation of an English newspaper in the world, with 3,321,702 average qualifying sales.[6][7]
- I'll insert this into the article.--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:07, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

- I'm sorry, but nobody could reasonably review this request, because it's a giant block of un-formatted text that would require extensive wiki-coding to format before it could be ready for article-space. You need to put this into your user-space as a draft and learn how to format references, sections, etc. It's unfortunate that it's so hard for new editors to add content without learning code, but I don't know what else to tell you. editThe group at one time, published a number of widely circulated and influential English and Hindi magazines. They were all closed due to financial difficulties. The Times group recovered later. I hope someone will add some details.Malaiya (talk) 23:28, 24 April 2021 (UTC)
