New format

Greetings everyone @Disney1024: @Superman011:, @Wikisteveb4:, @Lepeterrr:, @Bsems:, @Catironic9013:, @ArsenalGP:, @GreenPlantsAreGreen:

Since we're suggesting and changing, I'd like to suggest a new way of series overview (in "eras") as the traditional one is getting SO big. The 1st table marks the last season with 3 finalists, the 2nd one marks the end of 4 finalists, and the current has the seasons with 5 finalists. This way we might have more freedom to use colors because if one color was only used in the 1st table, in the 3rd table we could have a similar color since they will not appear together. I know it's a significant change, would like to know some thoughts.

Sorry, not a fan. The eras you described are very artificial and subjective imo because they aren't explicitly outlined by the show (like how American Idol has a FOX era and an ABC era based on the network the show was airing on). We, as Wikipedia creators, shouldn't create new categories/concepts just to make a table on a Wikipedia page seem more organized. In light of this, I'm not a huge fan of your proposition. But nevertheless, thanks for the suggestion. It's always appreciated. :) Disney1024 (talk) 05:50, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

Hiya, I agree with Disney1024, I understand why you think the table is getting too big but I don't think it looks good and as already said, the way they are organised isn't based on anything apart from the number of finalists. Thanks for the suggestion though! Lepeterrr (talk) 20:47, 17 May 2022 (UTC)

I know I’m late to this discussion, but weighing in, I agree with what the others have said. The table without eras is large, but in my opinion, fine as it is. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 17:44, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Team Camila Colour

Hello everyone,

I'm not a huge fan of the current brown colour used to represent Team Camila. Rather than changing it myself and potentially causing an edit war, I would much rather discuss the colour here. I would like to suggest an aquamarine colour, currently used in the series overview tables in the Wikipedia pages for The Voice UK and The Voice Australia, which I think is distinct enough from Kelly's plain blue. Besides, Kelly and Camila aren't coaching in the same season. Please let me know what you guys think about this colour. I am 100% open to changing the shade/tint of the colour if deemed necessary. I look forward to hearing your opinions. Thanks in advance! Disney1024 (talk) 00:46, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

@Disney1024: Hi I would suggest a colour that represents Camila's personality like Ariana's colour represents her personality Superman011 (talk) 09:16, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
Hello. I am open to changing Camila’s color, but I don’t think a shade of blue is ideal since Kelly was on so many seasons. I feel it would be too similar to a color that has been represented on the table for eight seasons. It would especially not work for me if Camila has the same seat Kelly had, which everyone is assuming she will. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 13:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
I personally doubt Camila will be taking Kelly's chair since she's technically serving as a replacement to Ariana, as the new current pop star on the panel. John (maybe Gwen) will most likely take Kelly's chair. In any case, since you and MarcioRob24 both aren't a fan of the idea of using a shade of blue, we can scrap it and choose a different colour for Camila. Disney1024 (talk) 23:20, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

I'm also a fan of the idea of using a shade of pink for Camila since no coach has been represented by a shade of pink since Miley, who coached on the show almost 5 years ago. I doubt she's coming back and there's an eight-season gap between Miley and Camila. Disney1024 (talk) 01:08, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

I do like the pink, and it could definitely work! I would like to hear other opinions on this matter, but I am in favor if others are. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 13:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
Hello. I'm not really keen in having an aquamarine/turquoise, since it's a shade so similar to blue (Kelly in last season) and green (John in the same season as Camila). That dark pink seems (almost) good. For me, the only problem is that it seems a little "flash-y" when it's side by side to Gwen's red... I know I've said some weeks ago that we should have a new shade for Camila, but I wanted to ask if this lighter red could work  . Maybe it should be changed to even lighter. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:09, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
@Superman011:, @Wikisteveb4:, @Disney1024: So, it was such a RANDOM guess. :O But I've just looked up, and I saw a fan of Camila saying that red is her fave color. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:15, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
Actually, Camila has said in interviews before that blue is her favourite colour, but I think that idea has already been shot down lol. I think choosing a shade of red for Camila when Gwen is literally on the same season is the same case as the argument being made against using aquamarine/turquoise for Camila. I do like the pink and I'm glad you and Wikisteveb4 like it as well. In terms of flashiness, I do think Ariana's purple is just as flashy and it really shouldn't be a problem in my opinion. Disney1024 (talk) 23:27, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

@Superman011:, @Wikisteveb4:, @MarcioRob24: What about this colour, something less flashy? Disney1024 (talk) 23:41, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Smaller table format

Here is the talk page. let’s see what the general input is for MarcioRob24’s table suggestion. I am in favor of the original table even if it is large. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:44, 1 June 2022 (UTC)

@Wikisteveb4: :@MarcioRob24: I agree with Wikisteveb4 that we should keep the original table even if it is large because it is consistent with all the other tables on the voice. Superman011 (talk) 07:32, 2 June 2022 (UTC)
I agree with Wikisteveb4 too. The original table is easier to read. I don't really care too much about what other pages are doing but I do find MarcioRob24's condensed version harder to read and aesthetically unappealing. Not a fan of the proposed change. Sorry :( Disney1024 (talk) 00:30, 5 June 2022 (UTC)
I will add that I'm a fan of the idea of just having the year in the table, instead of the air date. That information can be found in the ratings table as well as on the individual Voice season pages. So I do like that idea, just not the idea of making the rows smaller/narrower. Disney1024 (talk) 00:33, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

The table in question is the one below. Again, I believe this format is better because the traditional one is getting bigger as each season passes, which gets difficult to read. Also, there was a discussion done some time ago, regarding the dates/airing period, because it takes space in the table that could be used for other stuff. The full airing dates are shown in the ratings table, so I believe that having the years could be enough. I've added the moving possibility to this table because we can have all finalists' names in just one line, and still all columns with the same width. I do not agree at all with the argument "consistent with all the other tables on the voice", because how other countries have their tables should not matter. Every version is different, so... I am going to ping more editors, to know their opinions.

I see, with what appears to have been no consent from other editors, the table has been changed to the new format. Even though I personally am not in favor of this, if other editors have given the green light for this change, I am more than fine with it. The only purpose of this message is to caution against possible editor abuse, without other opinions agreeing because I have not seen anyone else in favor of this drastic change. Thanks. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 01:31, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

@Wikisteveb4 In one thing though editor @Disney1024: did agree on: having only the year in which the season aired. If, on the traditional table, we remove the months and leave only the year, the lines for each season are irregular. Some seasons have two lines and others have only one. The way the table is now was the only one where I could include only the year, having all seasons in one line and still have a bigger height for each season's line, so it isn't a big shift from the traditional table. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 03:43, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
I did see @Disney1024 was in support of that, and honestly I am too. If this change can only happen making the table smaller it is totally fine with me, because Wikipedia is made off of opinions and compromises among editors. I am still interested to see what other editors leave on this page, but thanks for the explanation @MarcioRob24. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 11:47, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
@Wikisteveb4 Thank you - MarcioRob24 (talk) 12:25, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
@Disney1024 just increased the font and now I am fully in support of the change. My biggest concern was the small font. Looks good to me. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 15:46, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

season 22 seat order

Hi, can someone please find me an article where it confirms the seating order Superman011

Hi Superman011, I have images which I don't think I'm allowed to share here but the current order is definetly the correct one. Lepeterrr (talk) 08:03, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Why are you not allowed to share Superman011 (talk) 09:50, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I know at least several people on Twitter shared some images of the seating order for S22 and it was adjusted. Camila previously was put in Kelly’s old chair, but it was fixed, because images do show she is next to Blake and John has Kelly’s chair. Thanks. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 16:54, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

Hey everyone. I just wanted to create this page to propose a coaches photo gallery. Most other ‘Voice’ pages have a gallery of the coaches and their seasons/years they were on. Please leave your input below. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 18:03, 25 July 2022 (UTC)

Why is Camila being added as a judge before the new season?

Wikipedia guidelines state that the new season should start airing before we add Camila as a judge. Not wanting to cause an argument, I created this talk page for other editors to hopefully chime in if they know this rule as well. This is how it was with Ariana and every other judge. The new season airs, the judge gets added. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 21:38, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Are these guidelines new? I’m not understanding how Camila can be added before the premiere. But, if someone higher than me says she can, that’s great, because I will have learned a new Wikipedia policy. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 21:43, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Once an article has been created about a season, including references verifying changes to the coaching panel, it's my understanding that new coaches can be added in all the appropriate places. If you look at The Voice (American season 22), sources there verify Cabello's planned participation. And since NBC has set a date for the premiere (which is also confirmed on the season page), any of that reliably-sourced information can be included even if the season has not yet premiered. At least, that's my understanding from watching season pages being taken from draftspace to mainspace, and adding information from reliable sources. If such sources exist on the season page, it should be information that can be added to this main page. But any who have followed these pages longer than I have can correct me if my observations are wrong here. Jgstokes (talk) 05:57, 3 August 2022 (UTC)

New coaches... new colors!

Yo-o-o!!! Apparently Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper are gonna be coaches on season 23 along with Kelly and Blake, and to be honest... I'm already thinking about which colors they should have, hehe. I've done a little research and supposedly Niall's fave color is green, and he also enjoys blue... Green+Blue=Turquiose, so I would suggest the light turquoise shown below. And for Chance, I found a Reddit post (from 5 years ago, tho) saying that his fave color is pink... Since we just added a new pink-ish color to Camila, I would suggest the light salmon below. God, I've been waiting for a male coach to have a pink color key for so-o-o-o-o long!!! We can't miss this opportunity! Don't y'all think?

  Niall -   Chance

MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:50, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

For my personal opinion, I really do like that blue green and its time that goes on the table. I think that could be used more for Chance, thats just me. I like the idea of a slight version of pink, but I'm still not completely sold on that particular shade. Really solid ideas though. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:06, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
I agree with this. I've been wanting a shade of turquoise/aquamarine on the table for quite a while, though I think that the shade would be best suited for Niall. I'm not sold on the salmon colour either, especially since Camilla has a light pink and she was in the season prior. Just something to keep in mind when deciding on the colours used for Niall and Chance, which we have plenty of time to do. Season 22 just started lol. Disney1024 (talk) 07:40, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24: Lol you're not the only one to start thinking about the new coach colours. Wow, great minds think alike because I was also thinking of a turquoise/aquamarine shade for Niall since his favourite colours are blue and green. However, I was thinking of a saffron shade for Chance since orange hasn't been really used on the table since Alicia, which by the time season 23 premieres would be almost 5 years (and 9 seasons) ago. I'll also ping @Wikisteveb4: for their input as well. Disney1024 (talk) 07:40, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

I'm adding a mini table for visual purposes (I think it helps to see it in action), just as I did when we discussed Camila's colour the last time around:

Disney1024 (talk) 07:57, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your input guys. I indeed like that orange for Chance, my favorite color is orange. However, let's keep in mind that the order of the chairs also influences if some colors work or not, at least that is my view. So, I decided to present another possible order and keep the colors I suggested, as you can see below: - MarcioRob24 (talk) 14:00, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
I love your shades of salmon suggested both above and below. My only concern is that it is similar to Gwen's red, which is directly above it (assuming that Chance is allegedly sitting in Gwen's old seat). I prefer the saffron orange colour for him since there hasn't been any orange since Alicia. However, I love the salmon shades enough to keep it in mind for future use, considering the fact that there will almost certainly be a new country coach in season 24 to replace Blake, who's leaving after next season. And salmon I think would be a great choice for them! Disney1024 (talk) 04:23, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Now that Niall has appeared to confirm the chair order with him sitting next to Blake, I really like Disney1024's colors a lot. I would be concerned if Niall sat next to Kelly that blue would be too similar, but I think this works well. I also like Chance's color, but would it be a little too similar to Nick's? Just a thought. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:15, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you so much for the input! Nick has a yellow shade while Chance is a shade of orange. I think they're different enough. Even if Niall was sitting next to Kelly, the shade are different enough for it to work. Just like Adam and John both having shades of green in season 16. Disney1024 (talk) 04:17, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
I put both your suggested shade of turquoise and my suggested shade of turquoise into a table in order to compare the two shades of turquoise with the colours of the other coaches coaching in season 23 as well as in previous seasons. While I love both shades, I do find your turquoise shade a bit too flashy compared to the other colours used in the table. I believe this issue was also raised by other editors when I proposed a similar shade of dark turquoise for Camila when she was revealed as a coach last summer. I find my shade of turquoise to be lighter and more unassuming, which also fits Niall's humble and down-to-earth personality imo (the light turquoise also matches Niall's eye colour LOL). Disney1024 (talk) 03:24, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

And what about  ?

@Wikisteveb4: @Disney1024: So, I guess we'll have saffron for Chance and light turquoise for Niall, unless some other editor decides to pop in on the discussion. One thing tho, that I noticed just now: the light turquoise I suggested is not the same as Disney1024 suggested. It is noticeable that "my" turquoise leans more toward green while Disney1024's leans toward blue. We already have 3 blues (CeeLo, Usher, and Kelly) while we have only 2 greens (Adam and John). I really think that the one I suggested is much more suitable for the table, and I don't think anything is gonna change my mind 😅 - MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:29, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

I didn't notice much different between the two, but yours provides more contrast, so I’ll l give my support to that one. 👍 Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:33, 15 October 2022 (UTC)
I just tested them out on the main table as a preview and they look really good to me. I hope the other editors agree. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 21:27, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

Not us debating similar shades of turquoises lol 😂

While there have been only 2 coaches with shades of green, those 2 coaches combined cover every season of the show, meaning that there has been one “green coach” in the panel of every season for the past 22 seasons. And John’s comments about Blake leaving (i.e. saying that “we will miss him on the show”) do imply that he will be returning to the show. I admit that I do have bias towards shades of blue (just as you do with shades of orange) so I do prefer “my” shade of turquoise. But again, we do have time so let’s see what happens. There’s no need to decide on specific shades of turquoise right now, just as long we agree on turquoise being the colour. Disney1024 (talk) 21:04, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

Indeed we have a lot of time to decide... Even though, for me the decision is clear :D - MarcioRob24 (talk) 23:16, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi all, very exciting news. Since we have gone over numerous different shades of colors (blue, orange, etc.) would we be opposed to using a brown and grey shade? It would make Niall and Chance stand out more instead of just repeating colors. Obviously, we have time, so just something to consider, instead of having Niall blend in with someone like Usher's color, and the same with Alicia and Chance. Bsems (talk) 16:02, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

@Bsems: That is a good idea indeed! New colors are needed... - MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:10, 22 October 2022 (UTC)
The Voice series overview

I like that gray silver color as a general color on the table. It’s time for it to be up there. I was thinking of the brown recently so I do like that a lot. Even though it’s a while away, I think these two could really work. Great recommendations! Wikisteveb4 (talk) 21:51, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

My only concern is that these particular shades are already used on Voice wikipedia pages to indicate the runner-up and third-place finalist, which may get a little confusing. I still prefer the shades of turquoise/aquamarine and saffron that were discussed for Niall and Chance respectively. Disney1024 (talk) 06:12, 28 October 2022 (UTC)

Adding Niall and Chance

Well... As seen in the latest edits, people are very nervous and anxious to add Niall and Chance to the tables and etc. So, since we are around a month and a half from the new season, I guess we should be considerating the new colors again. Some months ago, I and other editors already discussed it. I did enjoy the idea of adding brown and grey as key colors. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 23:36, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

Brown and grey are pretty good options, and if the general consensus is for those colors, I have no problem with it. Personally, I would prefer if only one or the other were on the table this season, since brown and grey are both such muted colors. I vote for either adding brown or grey this season, and giving the other coach a gold or turquoise type color. Good options all around though. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 15:52, 22 January 2023 (UTC)

@Wikisteveb4: @Disney1024: @Bsems:

Alrighty everyone! I'm pinging you all since you are, so far, the only editors that have shown interest about the key colors for new coaches Chance and Niall. Months ago, the following colors were suggested for each coach:

Chance
  •
  •   /   (I'm suggesting this one now; it's just slightly lighter than the first brown)
Niall
  •   /
  •

With gold and light turquoise being presented as a "pair" and brown and gray being another "pair". What I would suggest is to pair all the suggested colors together, and I took the initiative of making the little table below. Important: since I have removed the "Coaches (chairs' order)" section off of the Series overview table, these key colors are gonna be much more important and present in the season 23 particular page.

Finally, I want to say already that my favorite is option 7: Chance with gold/saffron and Niall with gray. I am willing to give up on the light turquoises (which resemble blue and green) in order to give a shot to new shades. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 14:34, 25 January 2023 (UTC)

Option #4 is my favourite option but I also like #1 since Niall's favourite colours are blue and green. Hence, a shade of turquoise would be appropriate in my opinion. Silver would be interesting choice but if Chance is already gold, that pairing would be similar to the colours we use to indicate the winner and runner-up. Perhaps silver could be used on the new country coach replacing Blake next season?

4.  Kelly  Chance  Niall  Blake                                5.  Kelly  Chance  Niall  Blake                                6.  Kelly  Chance  Niall  Blake

I fully support option 7. I think Chance should have the gold saffron over the brown, and I’m in support of giving Niall the grey to mix things up. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 12:52, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for your input, @Wikisteveb4: - MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:56, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
@Wikisteveb4: @Disney1024:

Hi all, I am in support of 8 or 9. I think the gold for Chance is way too similar to Nick Jonas. I believe the brown and silver are completely new and fresh. Open to all opinions though. Bsems (talk) 11:39, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for your input, @Bsems:
Ok, so... There seems to be several distinct opinions... And we should try to come to a consensus :)
What about Niall having one of the turquoise and gray goes to Chance? Or any between 5, 6, 8 or 9?
 Kelly  Chance  Niall  Blake
 Kelly  Chance  Niall  Blake  - MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:51, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
Yes, I agree we should try to wrap this up. To try to come to a compromise, I think it’s fair to put my final offer in for 5 or 6. I am willing to drop the gold for Chance due to it conflicting with Nick’s color. I personally would rather see Chance with brown than grey. I don’t think Niall with grey would look as pleasing compared to the turquoise. I personally think it would be a good compromise at option 5 or 6, as it seems to split our differing opinions well. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 22:44, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
The only reason I am against 8 or 9 is personally I feel that both the brown and grey with Blake’s neutral beige color is too bland for the same season. @Bsems @MarcioRob24 if either of you are not in support of my suggested compromise, you can go ahead with 8 or 9 to wrap the discussion up. Just thought I’d put in my last ideas. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 22:52, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
Thanks @Wikisteveb4:. I agree we should come to a compromise... I'm pro turquoise for Niall and brown for Chance. I believe that pair can satisfy all editors in the discussion. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 01:02, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
@Wikisteveb4: @Disney1024: @Bsems:

Well... It seems that brown for Chance and turquoise for Niall are the "favorites", and I think those colors should be added to the blind auditions color key on season 23's page very soon... Now, new questions arise! Which turquoise:   or  ; and which brown:   or  ?

@MarcioRob24: @Disney1024: @Bsems:

I am putting my vote in for these options:   and  . All work well to me though. Wikisteveb4

@Wikisteveb4: I am much more pro this turquoise  , and the brown is kind of indifferent, because they are very similar. - MarcioRob24 (talk)
@MarcioRob24: That is fine with me. Since the other editors have seemed indifferent for a while now, should we consider these the final colors? Wikisteveb4 (talk)
@Wikisteveb4: I think so... In fact, I've already added them in the season 23 page :) - MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:12, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

coaches order

When did we remove the coaches order in series overview? Is there any way to put in back into the page? 2601:248:100:2560:7562:F5E0:2EF5:173B (talk) 20:27, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

This was done a few months ago. The reason is due to the overall largeness of the table. A discussion was held and the consensus was to remove that part of the table for a better flow of the page. The info on the chair order is in each season's respective articles if one wishes to see that. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 18:00, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Table

@MarcioRob24 I think we should have the table because all of the other the voice article have the coaches column so the American one should have the coaches column. Superman011 (talk) 15:30, 30 April 2023 (UTC)

What one "The Voice" article has got or hasn't got should not predominantly influence another "The Voice" article... The "coaches (chair's order)" column as well as the full airing dates were removed because the table was getting large and full of colors, which is not necessary at all. MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:05, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
@MarcioRob24 but coaches have changed seats over the seasons though Superman011 (talk) 09:10, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
@Superman011 and those orders are: 1. In each season article, 2. In the "Coaches' teams" sections, 3. In the "Coaches' advisors" MarcioRob24 (talk) 12:44, 1 May 2023 (UTC)

Reba's color

Hey everyone. I know it’s early, but should we start discussing Reba McEntire's color, since we usually do that as soon as the new coach is announced? I’m eager to hear all of your thoughts. Pinging @MarcioRob24 and @Superman011. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 10:20, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

@MarcioRob24 suggested this light salmon colour the last time we were discussing coach colours (for Niall & Chance) and I think this would be a really good fit for Reba? What do you guys think?   Disney1024 (talk) 15:32, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
I am all in favor of that color. I think it suits her well. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 16:25, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
@Wikisteveb4 it may suit her well, but I don't think it's a good color right now... We're gonna have John and Niall with similar colors, and then that light salmon would be similar to Gwen's red... Don't think it'll be a good color panel, imo MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:02, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
An article from 97 "McEntire looks best in "brilliant jewel colors, like blues and purples. Soft pinks and peaches look great on her also." Her favorite colors are emerald green and any shade of blue" MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:05, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Personally, I am not a fan of any sort of blue-green for Reba, only because John and Niall both have blue/green colors. I am all for proposing a new color for Reba, other than the one shown above, though. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 22:52, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
Maybe we could propose a shade of purple; I am very open to that as that is not like John/Gwen/Niall's color. What you quoted above states she likes purple, so that could be our next step to determining her color. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 22:53, 17 May 2023 (UTC)
How do you all feel about   for Reba. I think it’s a very good shade for her. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 12:10, 18 May 2023 (UTC)
I think it's a good one, yeah. MarcioRob24 (talk) 00:27, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
I find it too dark. I still prefer salmon but how about a slightly lighter shade of the pink you suggested? I think this will complement the other coaches' colours much better (especially Niall's blue) while still honouring the shade of pink that you suggested.   :::::Disney1024 (talk) 05:19, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
John Gwen Niall Reba
Disney1024 (talk) 05:29, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
I think that pink you suggested will be good. I’m all in favor of it. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 14:05, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
Yay! Let's see what @MarcioRob24 thinks... Disney1024 (talk) 11:29, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
I am only concerned that the lighter one could lead to the discussion of being too similar with Miley's dark pink. Hence, I rather have Wikisteveb4's original proposal, or maybe make the lighter one a little more purple than pink. MarcioRob24 (talk) 16:24, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
Miley Reba
I do think that these colours are starkly different since Reba is clearly more purple, as you suggested. Besides, Miley has not coached in over 10 seasons (just like Niall and Usher with similar shades of light blue) and thus the spacing between Miley and Reba can also differentiate their colours. Even if this changes, I do believe that their colours are already different enough. Disney1024 (talk) 06:26, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
I still believe the original one is better. MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:38, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
I think both of them will work. There are arguments for both sides, so I will let all of you establish one or the other. I think both would work very well. I agree with the argument that the original one proposed is a bit dark, and there is validity with the other being too similar to Miley's. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 12:51, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
So, I used an HTML color mixer, and put both colors. This was one of the results  . I'd be happy to use it - MarcioRob24 (talk) 15:16, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
I think that is a great mixing. I love it. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 10:54, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
I'm down for this shade. I like it a lot. Disney1024 (talk) 00:59, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
@Disney1024@MarcioRob24- I guess since no one else is contributing, for now we can consider this as Reba's color. If so, that was one of the quickest agreements that we have come to collectively in a while lol. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 14:11, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
Hopefully, there are no new coaches in the near future for this show. I'm getting tired of finding new shades of different colours every six months lol. Disney1024 (talk) 17:06, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
I spoke too soon... Disney1024 (talk) 18:25, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
Yes. You got three weeks of a break.. lol Wikisteveb4 (talk) 18:43, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

Dan + Shay's color

Well, here we are again- @MarcioRob24, @Disney1024. It was just confirmed Dan + Shay will join as the duo with Reba, John, and Chance for season 25. Maybe this can be a quicker process than usual to establish Dan + Shay's color, lol. What do you guys think of   for them? I feel like it’s distinctive enough from Nick's color. The table could use more yellow-orange/saffron in my opinion. Interested to hear what you all think. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 17:59, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm down for saffron. I agree with your rationale. Disney1024 (talk) 18:26, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
Another option would be the light salmon colours previously suggested for Reba since Gwen isn't on this season. Just another suggestion :) Disney1024 (talk) 18:33, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
This one so you don't have to look for it:   Disney1024 (talk) 18:34, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
That's not a bad idea. Personally, I still like the contrast a bit more with the saffron I suggested, especially with Chance's brown. But, that light salmon color could definitely work, especially if @MarcioRob24 wants to use the salmon too. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 18:42, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
I'm so looking forward to finally have pink/a pink-resemble color for a male coach, so I really think that   should be for Dan + Shay. But, I don't mind saffron at all either... - MarcioRob24 (talk) 18:59, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
If no one else contributes, which they probably will not, I am all for the light salmon. I think we may have the color the day of the announcement, which would be a first! Wikisteveb4 (talk) 19:08, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
Wow, that was quick! Thanks guys for being so easy to work with! :) @MarcioRob24@Wikisteveb4 Disney1024 (talk) 03:25, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
Glad this was agreed upon so quickly. I think this is finally the right time to add a color with a pink-ish look to a male coach, or coaches in this case. Now that the season 25 color scheme is done, we should be able to be on hiatus for a while now… Wikisteveb4 (talk) 11:08, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
@Wikisteveb4 I think you have spoke to soon lol plus do you think Dan + Shay get one or two blocks? Superman011 (talk) 09:27, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
I would guess only one. Just because there are two of them, they still act as one coach.
I still don't see them announcing the coaches for season 26 any time soon, but alright. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 11:17, 24 June 2023 (UTC)

Stylizing artists' names

I ask you all to go through this with a neutral point of view. We have had multiple contestants go on the show with stage names that are stylized in all caps—such as NOIVAS, WILKES, VEDO, DOMO, the list goes on—and the season articles adhere to this styling, which would essentially go against MOS:ALLCAPS, which advises that we should reduce text stylized this way reduced into sentence case, a guideline put in place for obvious reasons.

The adherence to this article is seen in articles such as Jvke, Chase B, and Amber Riley. In the all-caps stricken articles of K-pop, we can also see this guideline being strictly followed, notably in Blackpink. Because of this, I have started to edit the season articles in accordance with this guidelines, with such edits being reverted on the basis of "respect" and the stylistics used by the show's social media accounts. These edits were also being constituted as "vandalism" by @Wikisteveb4, though nowhere in WP:VAND does it suggest that it were, even suggesting otherwise.

I'm writing to tell you all that we have a policy that has been enforced throughout Wikipedia that has been followed consistently without issue, nor claims of disrespect or the like. This is a case different from bodie from season 22 as we have a clear guideline on all caps. It's time for these articles to be consistent with the rest of Wikipedia and abide by this guideline.

Tagging: @MarcioRob24, @Itsrahmannn, @Bsems, as the most active editors on these projects not tagged. EdrianJustine (talk) 19:43, 2 August 2023 (UTC)

@EdrianJustine: I'm all in for this, to be honest. Although, I believe that those artists' names should have some indication that, in-show, they were presented with all caps. E.g, the abbreviation tag: Wilkes. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 20:24, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
This is a great idea @MarcioRob24. I find it, personally, blatantly wrong to not give a clue of an indication on how their name was presented throughout the season. A tag, though, would allow someone to see how the name was stylized during their time on the show. I feel this settles both debates. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:26, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your input; I shall edit the articles accordingly. EdrianJustine (talk) 22:23, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
And @EdrianJustine, thank you for coming to the talk page, even if it should have been done before making edits based on opinion. An open forum always needs to come first. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:28, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
@EdrianJustine: Thanks for taking the time to consider this. I love the idea and completely agree with you, @MarcioRob24:, and @Wikisteveb4:. I do not have much else to add besides I support and appreciate your work. Bsems (talk) 02:19, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

Consecutive coach wins

Hello all- long time no discussion… I feel that it is important to address an editors action's throughout some of these Voice pages in a few different countries. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have not seen anywhere that @MarcioRob24 has gone to a talk page to discuss his opinion on these winning coach columns. I feel the only way to settle the debate is to have a forum that should have happened to begin with. In case you are not aware, @MarcioRob24 has replaced the rowspan's that we gave consecutively winning coaches with an individual column, even though the seasons are back to back. Ex/ Blake's three wins in seasons 2, 3, 4 and Kelly's two wins in seasons 14 & 15. I have noticed other editors chiming in saying they do not agree with these actions, and @MarcioRob24 continually reverts them and says they are “justified”. I personally do not feel the edits are justified until the majority of us editors agree here that this change can happen, as we all are supposed to have an opinion. I will put my vote in and that is, I am against this change. I feel that it is perfectly clear enough how many wins a coach has by looking at who won per season and the corresponding color underneath the name of the winner. However, I am not against creating a separate table/chart noting how many wins a coach has somewhere in the article. I just feel the winning coach column is not the place to try to subjectively distinguish that. Sorry for the length and look forward to hearing others’ opinions. Pinging: @EdrianJustine, @Bsems, @Disney1024, and @Superman011 Wikisteveb4 (talk) 19:12, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

@Bsems, @Disney1024, @Wikisteveb4, @EdrianJustine and @MarcioRob24 I think we should do the rowspans because it is easier then putting Blake Shelton's name 3 times in a row. Superman011 (talk) 19:25, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
Hmmm, seems like I've been being inspected... I know that I should've discussed this matter on the talk page first. About that, all I have to say is I apologize.
I did this after checking out the "The Voice Portugal" talk page. Two years ago, there was an editor suggesting to do this edit, but at the time it led to nothing. I suggest you all to check their reasons there...
I believe that we all like to keep things uniform on these pages. It happens that, on seasons 14 and 15, Kelly was the winning coach. By grouping those cells, Kelly's 2 victories have the same height of Blake's win in season 20... In sum, Kelly won twice and Blake won once and their names occupy the same space... That's a little irregular, and can be confusing too. I believe that could be avoided by repeating the coach's name once they have consecutive wins.
That's all, for now. Here's the justification Thank you. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 19:44, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
Those reasons are definitely grounds for a discussion about this for sure, as that is a point to help the case of getting rid of the rowspans.
I personally think this could be settled nicely if we bring back the rowspans in the winning coach column on the series overview, but possibly add each coach's number of victories to the coach timeline or something like that. Open to other suggestions as well Wikisteveb4 (talk) 20:14, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
I think adding another table to the page would not be helpful, specially if it's for something that is shown in an existent one. I was not expecting that this edit would bring such discomfort (I don't think this word is the most fitting, but I couldn't think of another one).
I, personally, believe repeating the names is more formal and makes more sense, logically. Shelton won three times consecutively, but, at the same time, separately, because it was with different artists. I.e., using the "rowspan" is just to avoid more text... which seems lazy.
For example: do you know those tables about how many awards and nominations artists/TV series/movies win? Those also, repeat the word "Win" several times in a column... it's basically the same here. Separate victories. - MarcioRob24 (talk) 21:02, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
I agree, rowspans are much easier. I think it's a bit redundant to list a coach mutliple times in the event of them winning consecutive seasons (i.e. Blake for seasons 2 to 4, Kelly for seasons 14 and 15). I also agree that edits aren't justified until a consensus has been reached by editors, which in this case hasn't. Disney1024 (talk) 19:48, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

Coaches Seating Order

I would love to see the seating order of the coaches return to this page. Who the coaches are is at the heart of this show and where they are seated also plays a big part. It makes the page feel uncompleted. Please tell me someone agrees? LaVozSA (talk) 00:35, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

New Colour for Season 27

Kelsea Ballerini will be a coach for S27 with Adam, John, and Bublé. For her color, I am thinking…

  Kelsea

But am open to many suggestions! @MarcioRob24 @Disney1024 Wikisteveb4 (talk) 00:46, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

That shade of pink is similar to Shakira's light pink that is used in the season 4 and season 6 Wikipedia pages. Also, Dan + Shay had a light salmon colour last season. I was looking through older discussions and this shade of light blue   was suggested for Niall. I think it would go well with Kelsea, especially in contrast with Adam Levine's light green, John Legend's dark green, and Michael Bublé's gold colour. Also, after doing some research, Kelsea's favourite colour is blue and she used light blue for her Subject to Change album. Disney1024 (talk) 01:12, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
I was not tagged above, but I like the suggestion of the light blue shade. User:Jgstokes (talk)—We can disagree without becoming disagreeable. 05:35, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
I'm glad you liked it, thanks for the input! :) Disney1024 (talk) 06:20, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
That will work good. Will definitely have to change if her and Niall are ever in the same season, but for now they are far enough apart where I don’t see an issue with confusion. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 11:13, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

like I previously stated, @Disney1024's suggestion should work. But, here is a shade of blue that I feel differentiates her and Niall's color more and I think it could work better just for clarity purposes. What do the two of you think?
@Jgstokes @Disney1024
thank you. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 11:26, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
I actually like your suggested shade a lot. However, there may be concerns raised by others about how bright the shade is. In response to your concerns about my shade and potential confusion between Kelsea and Niall, there shouldn't be any regardless because Niall's colour is heavily leaning towards shades of green while Kelsea's is very much a shade of light blue. I am gonna put all the mentioned coach colours below for side-to-side comparison.
Usher Kelsea #1 Niall Kelsea #2 Usher
Disney1024 (talk) 15:02, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
I'm down for either shade of blue because they both work. I lowkey want Kelsea to have one of the suggested shades while the other is saved and used for the next new coach that we have on this show, since all of these blues are quite different in my eyes. Besides Kelly, there hasn't been a lot of blue on the table. Disney1024 (talk) 15:16, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
This is definitely where it gets subjective but I do not see the one I suggested being too bright. Ideally, it would be slightly less vibrant but the shade is great. I don’t know, personally, I just think that shade is really close to Niall and there are not many seasons separating them. I would be keen to hear @Jgstokes's input to be a mediator. Luckily, we both seem to agree that our suggested shades will work. There are just caveats to both I guess. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 15:47, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
@Wikisteveb4, Thank you for asking for my input again. While I like any of the three options a lot, I don't share @Disney1024's concern about the shade of the color suggested by Wikisteveb4. I'm not a color expert by any stretch of the imagination, and I think any of the options would be good, but I like Wikisteveb4's suggestion that one should be used for Kelsea, and one held over for another season. As far as which should be which, I think I'd prefer Kelsea #1 for the upcoming season in question, and for the Kelsea #2 shade to be held over for the next new coach in a subsequent season. As someone who is not a color expert, those are just my thoughts on this.
That being said, since there is no rush to make a definitive final decision on this (since the season in question won't air until next year), I might also suggest that we wait for input from additional editors on this. 2:1 may not be sufficient to establish a consensus. How would you both feel if we kept this discussion open, at least for the next week or two, to allow others time to add their input on this?
In 16 years of Wikipedia experience, I've learned that there is a lot of wisdom in waiting to establish a solid consensus. Others who have been tagged may not have seen this discussion yet, and they should have a say in this too. So yes, I have my personal preference on this matter, but I would also like to hear others weigh in on this before we call it a consensus. Any concerns or issues regarding that suggestion? User:Jgstokes (talk)—We can disagree without becoming disagreeable. 23:24, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Technically, it wouldn't be 2:1 because I love Kelsea #1 too. You would have my vote if the majority decides on that colour. :) Disney1024 (talk) 23:27, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for that clarification. I may have been confused on that point when I made my previous comment. In that case, there's a different question: if all 3 of us like Kelsea #1, is that enough to call it a consensus, or would it be better to go with my suggestion in my previous comment and wait for additional input before we call it a consensus? Thoughts? User:Jgstokes (talk)—We can disagree without becoming disagreeable. 23:46, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
I would bet this is the consensus and think the discussion can be closed because not many other editors typically chime in for these discussions. No harm in keeping it open just in case, but I think it is safe to say this is a good final consensus. Thank you to you both. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 23:53, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. Rarely do other editors contribute to the coach colour discussions. It's always just a small handful of us. Disney1024 (talk) 01:34, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
I've just arrived and well... I believe #1 is the best, imo - MarcioRob24 (talk) 16:10, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Actually, this will probably shake things a bit, but... I have a new suggestion: what about a yellow for Kelsea? A very light one like this   - MarcioRob24 (talk) 16:28, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that Pharrell's colour? Disney1024 (talk) 01:02, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
I just checked and it's very similar but Pharrell was 15 seasons ago (with no intention of coming back most likely) so using this light yellow could work for a future coach. Since Bublé is gold, I rather give Kelsea a colour that isn't yellow (especially since Adam and John are both different shades of green already). I think we should keep Kelsea as light blue (#1) and keep this shade of light yellow for a future coach, just like how we decided on Dan + Shay, Bublé, and Snoop using suggestions from previous coach colour discussions. I agree with @Disney1024 and we should wait to use the yellow. It is a good shade and Pharrell was long enough ago where the shade is fine. But we should not have two shades of green and two shades of yellow in the same season. Wikisteveb4 (talk) 12:30, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
Here's what the four coaches would look like together, assuming Kelsea has shade #1:
