Deleted speculation on election results and "who will be asked first"

edit

I deleted unsourced and speculative statements:

  • "One thing was clear: Netanyahu lost". (Probably, but that's i) not final and ii) unsourced. So it can't stay in now.)
  • Threat third election: Ha'aretz citation there doesn't really support that statement, except possibly VERY indirectly.
  • Rivlin will ask Gantz: (Unsourced and premature. While there is a good chance this will come to pass, presumably Rivlin is going to consult everyone first. And if parties representing more mandates recommend Netanyahu than Gantz, he may just ask Netanyahu first.)
Third election: A top spokesman for Bibi made it on Television. Thus, it's not indirect at all. Arglebargle79 (talk) 14:09, 20 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

the coup and the process of democracy

edit

With the possible auto-coup by Netanyahu and Eldestein going on with the Covid 19 stuff, what do we do about it?Arglebargle79 (talk) 21:04, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

What coup exactly? Vici Vidi (talk) 08:53, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

On 20 April 2020, an agreement was reached between Netanyahu and MK Benny Gantz on the formation of a national unity government.

edit

It's more like Rotation Government than National unity government. Euro know (talk) 08:19, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

It's the same thing. Most "national unity" (euphemism...) governments in Israel were or are rotation governments. There might be a wartime exception.--Vici Vidi (talk) 07:30, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Vici Vidi, Well it's not the same as Twenty-first government of Israel. There it was the Prime Minister quitted from the government and used as Minister, while another joined to be the Prime Minister (New government was created with a little change with only 2 people). Here there is not quitting (There is alternate prime minister and incumbent prime minister). Euro know (talk) 07:29, 13 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Not the same, because they legislate this change with alternate PM. But very similar if it comes to pass. Vici Vidi (talk) 07:44, 13 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
