Birth?
editAccording to FreeBMD, the births of four people named Tom/Thomas Pickup were registered in Pontefract district, or Wakefield district (Note: none in Lower Agbrigg district) between 1886 and 1907, i.e. coinciding with a playing career of circa-1924 to 1926. However, FreeBMD also indicates that a Thomas Pickup died aged 14 during April→June 1904 in Wakefield district, indicating a circa-1890 birth, and that a Thomas Pickup died aged 26 during October→December 1927 in Wakefield district, indicating a circa-1901 birth. As Tommy Pickup was still alive in 1983, this would mean that the two remaining people named Tom/Thomas Pickup from this era in the Pontefract/Wakefield districts are; Tom Pickup birth registered during October→December 1889 in Pontefract district, and Thomas Henry Pickup birth registered during October→September 1901 in Wakefield district, are either of these Thomas Pickup?
