Tichina is not a reliable source for her age. If actress Tannis Valley said she was born in December 1982, would you list that as her birth year? If Kelsey Grammar said he was born in 1964 would you list 1964 as his birth year?. Public records prove Tichina was born in 1971. She always made herself 2 years older because she wants to be closer in age to the cast of Martin. Only 2 cast members on Martin were born after 1969, and (Yoland Whitaker and Merrin Dungy) and they barely were cast members.
Tichina much rather be closer in age to Tischa Campbell than to Merrin or Yolanda
A lot of actresses and actors make themselves older too. Kathleen Freeman (born 1923 not 1919), Mae Young (born 1923 not 1919), Byron Webster (born 1933 not 1931), Richard Deacon (born 1922 not 1921), Darlene Love (born 1941 not 1938). Public records have consistently listed Tichina was being born in 1971. She had to make herself older in the 1980s especially because the entertainment industry in the 1980s treated people born in 1971 and 1972 unfairly because they were born in the 1970s not the 1960s and there was a reluctance to cast people born in the 1970s because that was seen as too young since such actors and actresses weren't even babies in the 1960s. 65.155.17.202 (talk) 17:45, 15 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
