editThe campaign name is supposed to be "Timur's fifth invasion of Georgia" 109.242.74.38 (talk) 19:32, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Can you provide evidence of this? Because Rayfield certainly does not call it this in his book, Edges of Empire. Annwfwn (talk) 21:37, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Timur invaded Georgia eight times, first in 1386, second in 1387, third in 1394, fourth also in 1394 and fifth in 1399, Georgians name their invasions as first invasion, second invasion, etc. The name of the page on the Georgian wikipedia is also "Timur's Fifth Invasion of Georgia". 109.242.74.38 (talk) 15:58, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a source for itself. Can you provide evidence that historians have referred to this event as “Timur’s Fifth Invasion of Georgia?” Annwfwn (talk) 21:15, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
