Contradiction
editList of Chinatowns lists a chinatown in Mumbai, whereas this page claims that Kolkata has the only Chinatown in India.
- Calcutta does have the only one. I've corrected the list and removed the tag. Here's the source again: http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2004/07/31/2003181147 --Osprey39 22:41, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- That is great detective-work! I thought I had noticed that somewhere but wasn't sure. Thanks. --Antorjal 23:40, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Opium Den Picture
editIs the opium den picture representative of the current condition of this Chinatown? It doesn't look welcoming at all. LOL --Voidvector 20:09, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Chinatown, Kolkata. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20130131132414/http://business.blogs.cnn.com/2012/08/17/kolkatas-vanishing-chinatown/ to http://business.blogs.cnn.com/2012/08/17/kolkatas-vanishing-chinatown/
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

- I had not found an archived copy and had marked it as such, but now there is a copy. Dhtwiki (talk) 16:23, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Recent page move
editThis article was just moved from "Chinatown, Kolkata" to "Tiretta Bazaar" without discussion. The odd part that I want to note is that the Bengali name, "চায়নাটাউন, কলকাতা", transliterates as "Cayanatauna, Kolkata", which resembles the old article name. What are the justifications for this page move? Dhtwiki (talk) 01:28, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
