Hollywood Reporter criticism

The Reporter's critic makes a good point about this movie when he says the camera does indeed dwell at length in scene after scene on Xavier Dolan's face. In as much as Dolan can be accused of narcissism, as a director he probably made the right decision in choosing to enhance the film with the lead character's attractive facial qualities. The plot should be expanded to reach 400 to 700 words.. The quote in production about Dolan's interest in the mother of the play could do without the first three words. Also, the link in reference 7 seems to be broken, and can be replaced with this interview: Pisani, Tommy. "Xavier Dolan Discusses Tom at the Farm." Out Magazine. Out Magazine, 13 Oct 2013. Web. 13 Sep 2013. <http://www.out.com/movies/2015/8/13/xavier-dolan-tom-farm-thriller-gay-french>.. The interview also reveals how Dolan initially had shot a sexual scene between Tom and Francis, but didn’t feel it fit in the film. Maybe this could be added to the production section, as it helps with understanding what Dolan is and isn’t trying to convey through the film (though don’t include the explanation I gave in the actual page). I’ve also seen some information regarding the release of the film in different countries that could be in its own “release” category. This interview discusses the limited release. Lattanzio, Ryan. "Xavier Dolan Gets Real, Reveals ‘Mommy’ Oscar Jitters, ‘Tom at the Farm’ Whereabouts and More."IndieWire. IndieWire, 19 Jan 2015. Web. 13 Sep 2016. <http://www.indiewire.com/2015/01/xavier-dolan-gets-real-reveals-mommy-oscar-jitters-tom-at-the-farm-whereabouts-and-more-189242/>.. Considering the plot section should see some growth, and addition of a cast section would be beneficial. The ratings on rotten tomatoes have also slightly changed. @Wrodr041: This was full of useful critiques, but it was hard to read. Try making bullet points or numbers so that future Wikipedians can actually see how to improve the article. Writing a big block of text like this will probably confuse people rather than help them. Alfgarciamora (talk) 15:21, 16 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
