April 2022 neck-stabbing incident
editShould we mention the neck-stabbing incident at St. George station in the article? The CP24 article also mentions the pushing incident at Bloor-Yonge station (which is already mentioned in the Wikipedia article) and how there are three notable incidents within the past week or so. - I wouldn't: WP:SUSTAINED and WP:RECENCY. —Joeyconnick (talk) 03:17, 6 May 2022 (UTC)

editare the tags still necceseary? i think at least excessive detail is not there atm Michael H 16:32, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- They are still necessary because users not familiar with WP:NOTNEWS, which is the vast majority of users, would continue to add various minor incidents that don't affect the entire system operations on a long-term basis. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 00:50, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
Line 3 derailment
edit@Joeyconnick and Johnny Au: The July 25 derailment is a major incident in that it will shut Line 3 down for at least several days. I feel that an entry in the article is justified because of a major impact on TTC service. It seems that with a strict interpretation of WP:NOTNEWS and WP:RECENCY, the article TTC incidents should largely not exist. Perhaps, you should document some guidelines in Talk as to why the Sammy Yatim shooting (not a transit incident) is acceptable, but a long suspension of a rapid transit line due to a derailment is not. TheTrolleyPole (talk) 19:47, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
- I am in favour of keeping the Line 3 derailment as it resulted in affecting operations for over a day to be consistent with other incidents that lasted multiple days. One reason why the Sammy Yatim shooting is included is the fact that it has a Wikipedia article of its own: Killing of Sammy Yatim. However, I favour the removal of Mary Kim giving birth in the subway system because it is not significant to transit operations; she happened to be the first to give birth in the subway system and she receives lifetime passes as a result. Done The Line 3 derailment has been added per Talk:Line 3 Scarborough#Line 3 derailment as it is deemed major enough to warrant a mention, given that the line would close a few months later anyways. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:53, 30 July 2023 (UTC)
Islington fire
editWould the recent fire at Islington station qualify for this article, since it shut down a section of track for a few days? Deltaultra (talk) 02:16, 30 April 2024 (UTC)
