Touch Football World Cup โ Touch World Cup โ The Federation of International Touch which organises the event refers to it as the Touch World Cup and not the Touch Football World Cup. Additionally, the England Touch Association the most recent hosts of the TWC refer to it as the Touch World Cup. See: https://www.internationaltouch.org/events/upcoming/2024/jul/15/world-cup/ and https://www.englandtouch.org.uk/touch-world-cup-2024/ . Even nations that refer to it as Touch Football rather than Touch or Touch Rugby such as Australia refer to the event as the Touch World Cup or the FIT World Cup, rarely the Touch Football World Cup e.g. https://touchfootball.com.au/news/2024/07/22/world-champions-emus-retain-world-cup-in-dominant-performance/. Even when they do refer to it as the Touch Football World Cup, it's clear the official name is the Touch World Cup see for example https://touchfootball.com.au/news/2024/04/30/recapped-touch-football-world-cup-2019/ where although they call it the Touch Football World Cup in the title, they refer to it numerous times as the Touch World Cup throughout the article including as "The 2024 FIT Touch World Cup" at the end. - Support: Name complaint with WP:AT. While it may go against WP:OFFICIAL with the current name being a common name. "Toutch Rugby World Cup" is also a common name so "Toutch World Cup" covers both. Mn1548 (talk) 09:00, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
- Weak support on the basis of a more WP:concise title.
