Top billing
edit@Cosmic2992: This image that is on the bottom of official website is the billing block for the film. It is not on the poster. It is on the website. What makes you think this wouldn't be official? Mike Allen 01:31, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

- Sorry about that. Here is a screenshot [1]. Mike Allen 20:26, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Stillwater1103:, please see screenshot of billing block taken from the official website. No mention of Kid Cudi, and no mainstream reliable sources report him in a starring role. Thank you. Mike Allen 16:33, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
Orphaned references in Trap (2024 film)
editI check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Trap (2024 film)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "BOM":

- From Knock at the Cabin: "Knock at the Cabin (2023)". Box Office Mojo. IMDb. Retrieved March 16, 2023.
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. Feel free to remove this comment after fixing the refs. AnomieBOT⚡ 22:11, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
Seriously?
editSo, the intro paragraph has a major spoiler and really shouldn't say that he is a serial killer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JJCaesar (talk • contribs) 00:26, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
- That’s the plot of the film as also seen in the trailer and every marketing material. It’s not an “twist”. Also see WP:SPOILER. Mike Allen 10:38, 11 August 2024 (UTC)
Reversions to plot edit
editAfter reading the plot summary there were various points at which it was extremely unclear how the plot could be progressing.
One example: it says the family are locked in a room, then immediately after able to stall Cooper.
I therefore think the reversions made to my edits have left it once again difficult to follow. Open to other edit suggestions. Barnprogram (talk) 23:58, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- That the family escapes (which is just two words, which I've just added; seven is way too much) not is a very small part among all your edits, which inflated the word count to way beyond 700 words, the maximum. There was absolutely no reason to include details like Cooper showing off Spencer, and the editor who reverted you probably didn't have enough time on his hands to comb through every single word you added. - Okay, fair enough. Both of you were very rude in your comments, I’ll add - I don’t see how that encourages new people to want to get better at editing, or anyone for that matter. 2A02:C7C:C88:E100:251A:BDB5:C70E:700C (talk) 09:00, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- Didn’t know you were apart of the conversation. Thanks for your input! Mike Allen 10:08, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- I often struggle with tone, sorry. It is not my intention to anger people. Could you help me get better by giving some examples where I could've done better? Aaron Liu (talk) 12:37, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

Why the back and forth on the surname?
editI've seen this page changed from "Adams" to "Abbott" and back again so many times. I remember it being Adams when I saw the film in theatres, and the IMDb page doesn't list the family's last name at all (Cooper Adams/Abbott is just "Cooper" for example). So not sure where people are getting "Abbott" from. Can we get some consensus on this? It's bothering me. FrozenIcicle (talk) 02:03, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- You’re right. This is why we simply go by the credits. We don’t need full names in the cast section. Mike Allen 11:03, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
