Substantial expansion, on fine sources, no copyvio obvious. I like the hook idea, and will approve it if you want that wording, but would prefer the bolded title at the beginning, and no sea of blue of the player and the penalty kick named after him. Some Dude From North Carolina all done bar Kyiv (British English spells it Kiev) and the West Germany plural (again, British English so this is just fine). Cheers for the review. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 19:15, 17 July 2021 (UTC)

Noticed in the FA review there was a comment on the lack of Czechoslovak sources. Found this one from Rudé právo which is worth reviewing and adding to the article.

Curious fact

Estadio Metropolitano?

When the article mentions that Spain and West Germany played the quarterfinals, the game set in Spain was played in the Estadio Metropolitano, just to notice the stadium was built in 1994, I think you mean Estadio Vicente Calderon that was the stadium of Atletico de Madrid at the time and it was referred in the article of the UEFA Euro 1976 quarterfinals as the stadium where the game was made.
